"Greetings,
With version 1.109c ready to go, we want to start focusing on the content of version 1.110 and the hub system of the new user journey. We have approached the developers to write down some of their thoughts and we will share them with you in the weeks to come..."
As usual head over to The Camelot Herald to read more!

"The Snare-Peeling lesson is a demonstration given by NPCs that shows how valuable teamwork can be in RvR combat."
Nice, nice.
Hurry up with this patch! I think it's time to try a brand new character.

Those who cannot do: teach?
IDK, if the patient appears to be breathing then I'm happy at this point!

Aww poot the Quest Hub isn't an overhaul of the Quest Journal My bad.
Quote:
First, remember all those new people we brought onto the team a few months back? Well we have been putting them to work creating what is best described as a New User Journey. This new content is focused around new and returning players who may not know or remember all the intricacies that make DAoC great. The plan is to create hubs which will teach players important lessons about Dark Age of Camelot gameplay while getting them ready for RvR warfare. Some of the lessons we have planned are: Assisting, Pets, Crowd Control, Peeling, Stealth, Guard and Protect, Templating, and much, much more. The goal is to get new players up to speed and out into the fight as quickly as possible while giving them the tools (both in terms of itemization and basic knowledge) to be viable. This new approach to DAoC content will not make someone an overnight RvR master, but it will definitely bring able bodied players out into RvR. So what does this mean for you? Well if you are one of those people who hasn’t played the game in a long time, getting back into it will be easier than ever. If you are already out there spilling blood on the battlefield, then be prepared to see more compatriots and more enemies out on the field contributing to the war effort. The New User Journey should be out within the next few patches and once it is, I am sure everyone will enjoy the results.

Hmm. When was the last time an RvR group ran with a peeler? I'm afraid the developer's view of RvR is dated. Welcome to ToA where interrupts are king and banelords have replaced peelers. No sense in misleading the young and hapless with incorrect information. Otherwise, 50 levels later they'll just wind up standing in frontier spamming "<Hero|Warrior|Peeler> LFG" for hours on end.

Peels are still very important Am ... er, Branwell, you just don't run a pure peeler anymore for the most part.

So every lesson ends with the conclusion "Roll up a NS"? Cause whenever I meet one, my character is dead in seconds, doesn't matter how well templated I am. Course I seldom meet just one, I meet 2 or 3 or more. Still...

i don't know why people complain about stealthers. they have no utility in a group if you meet one solo you should die. I rarely play stealthers anyways.
