I believe that Dark Age of Camelot Remasted and Re-released = the posible death of 4k old subs, but the birth of 200k new subs.

So what your saying is Kill all the loyal fans that Have made the game what it is today in order to get 200K new subs that will leave the game in 6 months like all the other "Modern" MMO's you refer to. Champions online F2P after 18 Months, COH/V will be going F2P later this year, LOTR F2P, I could go on but you get the point. ALL of those had HUGE subs at start up and are now all but dieing. DAoC SLOWLY trickled down to the current numbers and if you pay attention is actually getting a return of old players in past few months. Why ? Because all the "Modern MMO's" SUCK!!!!

I took a 5 year break and after some 25+ mmo's I came back to DAoC. Why ? Because the PvP system is THE BEST HANDS DOWN! Many others are coming back for the same reason after years of absence.

I don't know...the loss of half their subs around in 12 months (2005-2006) is a pretty fast drop imo, then a steady drop of 25k per year until 2010 when MMOdata stopped collecting from daoc..

Despite being practically dead, the game is still the better option of a really poor choice of MMO pvp orientated (isn't exactly pvp but...) games right now though
