Things change. We could go on all day about the things that we used to use are no longer used.

Instead of looking at it like Aurulite is useless, look at it like there is no need for aurulite gear. This is a good thing. There is no need for aurulite because you can get better gear now going through classic zones that have been decrepit for a long time. It's not like it was some valuable currency, even before the bgs it took maybe 10 minutes to get huge stacks of it from an instance. And the gear was never...really that great either. It was good for leveling, you could get a full set, level up, get next set move on.

DAoC seems to do something that I really like, there's always a SET of armor that you can get. In other games you get pants here arms 10 levels later blah blah. DAoC has always been decent about getting a set of gear thats good for you and looks the same. Even back in the day, dungeons had sets of armor. It took a while to collect, but it also took a while to level up.

And whats more, is if you miss a quest or something, you can purchase the missed piece at the next town for a pittance of coin.

So all aurulite has become now is the 'old' stuff. It happens a lot. Gotta make way for the new. Now we have easily obtainable gear, good stats (crappy look, i know imo not gonna fuss) and helps new players compete a little bit.

You probably saw people upset when Aurulite was the new guy. Saying hey what about our classic dungeon gear man wtf, I spent such and such time getting this whole set now its crap.

imo, one less currency to have to worry about and have in my packs.

I don't care about it at all. 1 less stop in my pack filled.

I think the crap it bought was just for filler and anyone who

had to use a full set of it for anything but a level or 2 of

pve has my sympathy.

It will be good for something. Salvage at least.

aurulite gear gives poor returns on salvage.

I suggest Mythic add a "Currency Converter" to the capital cities to allow players to trade in:
BPs
Coin
Aurulite
Scales
Seals
Glass
in return for:
Aurulite
Scales
Seals
Glass
Rent Tokens
