The future of Aurulite |

When patch 1.110 hits will there still be any use for Aurulite? The BP gear looks superior to any of the aurulite gear. I had read somewhere that there might be a way to trade in aurulite for BPs, but I couldn't find any mention of it in the patch notes and I couldn't find any NPC on Pendragon offering this.

They need to toss Aurulite.
DF gear is way better and always has been.

must've misread. Aurulite and the dungeons it drops in will become utterly useless when 1.110 his live servers. so now, after ToA, Catacombs is the second expansion to be a total waste.

Please inform me on how ToA is a waste? ToA still has some of the best gear in the game. Granted some of it has become obsolete, but there is still plenty of must have stuff.

Go run around without ever getting your ML credits and the good artifacts then.

The armor and weapons have no procs. Who would want aurulite armors with
no TOA (rvr) or catacombs (pve) bonuses?

Its obvious that rvr is the most popular part of daoc. The point of the patch is to make lvl 50 rvr, which is what everybody says they play daoc for, more easily accessible to new players, thereby drawing more new subscribers. So aurulite, and catacombs for that matter, is a small price to pay.
Thats just my opinion. But it seems to mesh well with reality.
Personally I like the pve content and tooling around in the catas zones. But I dont care if theres no more use for aurulite. Sure I've made a few plat off it, but the gold/aurulite has been coming down so, no major loss there.

There are some neat drops from a few of the Adventure Wing bosses, but I agree that the aurulite gear is going to be useless after this. Trading in the actual Aurulite for something or making it sellable is going to be better options if the aurulite bonuses are not going to be improved.
They upped the quality of the gear to 99% and now its going to be pointless to have any, and impossible to get from the battlegrounds anyways.
