If anyone plays HoN or games similar, have you ever thought it would be cool if DAoC had some of their ideas implemented? I've been wishing HoN would implement some DAoC classes as heroes in their game, but I was thinking there are some cool and kind of obvious abilities that I don't know why DAoC never implemented and wish they would in a new class or new abilities. I'll list some of the ones I think would be good in DAoC. Sorry if my DAoC knowledge has wavered over the years and they have these abilities and I just forgot.
1.) A heal that does AE damage to anyone near the target healed. This would be one of the best ways to give healers a way to increase their damage specs. Demented Shaman has this ability in HoN.
2.) Unbreakable: You throw this buff on a person that lasts for about 4 seconds, and if the target loses all of his health during this time, he is instantly healed back a certain amount. This would be kind of like Divine Intervention. Also demented shaman's ability in HoN.
3.) Stone Hide: I don't think this ability exists in the game, the closest thing I can think of is purge. But basically you turn it on and you're magic immune for a few seconds so you can't be CCed or nuked unless its a physical stun. If you were stunned before you activated it, you could not activate it to get out of the stun. This is predator and the shrunken head item in HoN.
4.) Taunt: This is a real taunt that causes anyone in your pbae to lose control of their character and start autoattacking you for a few seconds. Its basically a CC ability. This is legionaire's skill in HoN.
5.) Hook abilities: Ones that either draw an individual to you or that take you to the person. Devourer/Pudge and Gauntlet have this ability.
6.) Blinks and Disjoints: Blinks are obvious and they are in other games too. Disjoints are usually associated with some kind of blink and basically if you do a disjoint while a bolt is coming at you for example, the bolt won't hit you.
7.) Blood sense: If a enemy is below a certain percentage of health and close enough, you gain a move speed increase. This is bloodhunter's ability.
8.) As One: You are able to "jump in" to another player's body and ride in them and still cast spells while you can't be attacked. This is good if you are being targeted or about to die. This is Empath's ability.
9.) Silences: Aura silences, target silences, etc. In the aura silence, if someone casts a spell in your aura, they are silenced for a certain amount of time. It counters combination spells.
10.) Conduit: You target an enemy and over time you begin sapping his base attack damage and add it to yours, building up charges til a max amount is sapped. If the target run's away and gets far enough range, the sap is broken. This is corrupted deciple/razor's ability.
That's just a small sample of many that are in this game that I wish daoc had. If you have any other one's you think would be good, or you think they're bad, or from another game you can add to this.
