Didn't read much more, that's where you're wrong.
DAoC is about me. I'm playing a video game, for entertainment. It's not any significant real life issue that's all for the good of others etc.
If I'm frustrated by it, then I'm not as entertained as I'd like, so I'm not going to keep playing (paying). 'Me' is the only person it is about, I don't care whether you have fun in this game, I'm here for my own fun. Mythic have, for a long time, ignored the player base, the example above about WAR is spot on. The population numbers of this game and WAR reflect that.
Introducing a new user journey, 10 years into the game. No website for months, broken game mechanics (LW bows) for over a year(?), The fake marketing scam that was Origins. Billing people thousands of dollars. etc etc etc. They have consistently let the population down, and are only saved because their badly run game, is actually really good.

and casting thru walls and other stuff.
These should of been Mythics 1st and major promises to the ppl that still play.
Instead, lets pay these artist big bucks to draw this nice looking artwork
instead, lets do something else to all healing classes, that NONE ever asked for.
I've never been a big fan of Mythic, but, at one time, enjoyed the game called Dark Age of Camelot.

My 3 month sub ended 10/10/11 funny how that happened.
This game IS great. It's survived for 10 years because it's great. There have been errors along the way but in general Mythic has done a great job with DAoC. The problem is your expectation is that this game still be massively popular and super new/amazing despite a) it being a PvP game therefore in a super-niche market and b) it being 10 years old with correspondingly old UI.
If Mythic should be "ashamed" of any game it should be WAR.
