I see Bio/Mythic is still up to no good.

First, I was expecting something really good for the 10 year anniversary, like, fixing bugs, or the horrible lag.
Instead we get this great art work.
We get a t-shirt that costs more than a months sub.

Instead of doing something GRAND for the remaining player-base, I see nothing worth hanging around for.

Thanks for 10 years.

There's a patch coming, case you haven't noticed. There's also additional patch notes being unveiled today. Supposedly the 10year anniversary celebration will last throughout the year.

Patches should be a part of a subscription based mmorpg regularly. They are probably hopeing everyone plays SWTOR (even though it will fail), because they have nothing notable for us as usual.

I'd be happy with a functioning website as a gift

Exactly

Patches are part of a games life.

We've had patches throughout DAOC history, this one looks good granted but it's hardly a "gift" when for the most part, it's basic improvements that should of been with us years ago~

Hey now! You all helped make this happen with your day one origins mentality.

Many, like me, offered their advice what would be best for the game and you all complained.

Well now Mythic doesn't give you what you expected and you complain. You denied so much over time.

FOR 10 YEARS STRAIGHT YOU ALL WERE DETERMINED NOT TO HAVE DAOC LIKE ANY OTHER MMO. WELL HERE YOU GO!

Part of the reason I'm pretty much going to skip it, regardless of how good or bad a game it is. Cba with any more Mythic/Bioware when it comes to MMO.

Glad it isn't like any other. QYB . you still haven't shut up about how necessary an in game mail system is?

I love DAOC. I like that it's not as mainstream-mega-polished as other games out there. Makes it more worthwhile to me that the player base (typically) is concerned about numerical delves, bridges, npc interaction, game balance, the greatest political scandal of 2011 (Hibernian Greater Heals), 10% siphon weaps etc

and not... "I PLAYED WAR/WOW ONCE AND NOW" ....
* I want a kewl loot window so i know i don't get scammed out of all my precious lewts (stop PvE'n with choads and use one of the several loot tracking parsers avail for free).
* I want a window for BG's so that i can see peoples HP and names (Why? so you can see 15 solo shear/bolt classes leaching your push/pulls at berk, 10 afk buffbots, and a slathering of groups with 1 or 2 people trying to figure out where BG combat hasn't killed all of the RvR action)
* I want a mail system because i have a hundred alts and i need to send money to them all. (it's honestly pretty reasonable to me to picture you as the sort of guy who either doesn't have a bot account or friends to mule plat over to another toon for you)

-Ideally, give us the old herald back or something just as functional.
-Ideally, I don't want to play wow or war (there are 6 accounts to show it), so don't muck up my DAOC to feel like a Blizzard product.
-Ideally, We get patches regarding class balance and game issues(WTB thane love & more personal vault space) like the warden GH, heal procs, etc.

Sorry to "comeatyoubro" but most of the people on DAOC VN prefer DAoC to your WoW/WAR & clones, even if they've tore out their own hair because of Petstrels rr5 or hunterdogs. Perhaps you should look into another game or another forum? You'll find lots of mail boxes.

KUDOS MYTHIC FOR PATCH WITH SOME MEAT ON THE BONES.

I'm not bitching.. As I was in the beta for WARhammer..
Giving mythic every chance to make the game great, giving them
every option that was needed, before the game was to go live.
Just like everytime they asked for our feedback about what we all wanted.

What do they do? Look it over, throw it in the trash, and then, say, HEY this is what they
want.. This is what we are going to do.

We all knew, well before the product went live, it wasn't gonna work. We knew the city seige
was just stupid, and wouldn't allow players to fully play a game, they paid to play.

Just like now, We complain till we are blue in the face, about lag, about 'target not in view'.
and casting thru walls and other stuff.

These should of been Mythics 1st and major promises to the ppl that still play.

Instead, lets pay these artist big bucks to draw this nice looking artwork
instead, lets do something else to all healing classes, that NONE ever asked for.

I've never been a big fan of Mythic, but, at one time, enjoyed the game called Dark Age of Camelot.

Enjoy what you got.
My 3 month sub ended 10/10/11 funny how that happened.

Gee when did they let the whinny guy out of his cage? All I hear from that guy is 'me, me, me!' DAoC is not about you, but about the game population as a whole; I started playing DAoC, 5 years ago, when a friend introduced me to it, and I have been hooked on it since then. Knowing that it now has spanned 10 years, is a supreme accomplishment for a MMORPG, as most don't last more than 5 years!

I have tried other MMORPG's and so far I still continue to resub every month to DAoC, as they all lack something essential that mythic has captured and incorporated into it's game that keeps me coming back for more. Is there more that could be added to the game to make it more appealing? Yes, there is a lot more that mythic/bioware could and should do, but I will leave that up to them; instead I will continue to play, give my input when I can and enjoy playing DAoC for as long as it is possible.

Am I disappointed with what is currently going on with the 10th anniversary? not in the least, there is more to come and I am eager to see what else will be rolled out in the coming months..........
