The subject says it all really, i spend probably 75% of my time in bg's and the rest in NF and what i see time and time again is constant population increases and decreases whereby the masses move to a particular realm based on what is happening with that realm. For example: As a lot of you know who play in molvik, its very frustrating to be running around with 20-30 realm mates siegeing the CK or whatever and all of a sudden theres nobody around at all. Most of these people have switched realms because its conveniant for them and because there is only a 5 minute timer on realm switching.

The realm timer needs to be changed, its simply not long enough to create the feeling of "team support" and does not do this brilliant game from which i have been playing a number of years any justice. The 3 realm warfare is really what makes rvr in this game so interesting and its sad to see this element being abused.

For those who say quashing this timer will kill off subs and what not, at the end of the day a good product sells itself and by bringing back the feeling of team support it will surely make the game more enjoyable, after all who supports 3 football teams?

My proposition is to increase the timer somewhat, perhaps to an hour but maybe some testing will be needed, in any case 5 minutes is too short. I promise you when people get used to the old system again the realms will be much better balanced and more enjoyment can be gained from RvR.

I'd love to see the timer increased, really, really dislike xrealmers, i'm talking about the ones that use it to setup lowbies. I've seen it many times, they gather a group up and lead them into CK take trap.

Recently had someone join my gourp that posted lfg, the first thing they said was that the xp at our location wasn't any good, which was bull because our grps was ripping the mobs and we were turning in the quest really fast. Then he proceeded to tell everyone to /stick on him, even asked why i hadn't /stick to him yet. I told'em he could take this xp or he could choose to have no xp. My group stayed with me and we continued with our quest. I later explained to the group that the player was likely an xrealmer.

Really, who joins a group then proceeds to try and take it over.

People have been wanting to go back to 3v3 realms for YEARS and Mythic has ignored there wishes. You actually think Mythic cares now? Lemme answer that for you, stop before you waste your time.

Change the timer to something like 1 week. Personally I would rather they made 3 servers again, and forced us to pick a realm permanently then got rid of the ability to log into the other realms again, but I know its not gonna happen.

Thanks for the replys and its good to see the support, im going to keep at this because tbh GW2 doesnt wow me and neither does any other up and coming MMO. DAoC will be my game for a long time yet and if i can get this changed i know it will make my years to come a huge amount more enjoyable.

Why would I wanna pay $16 + some change each month and not be able to experience the full game??? Forced realm loyalty would not be an option nowadays. It never was to begin with, you simply log into another server to change realms. I'm all for increasing the timer, but not playing one realm or nothing.

When they decided to cluster the lazy way, they screwed the pooch for good.

Keep at it, just remember your $15*X means very little to Mythic at this point....

Alot of the newbies or 2-4 year so called vets dont understand what realm loyalty is or was. It was alot of fun when it was around and i wish it could be changed back but with the clustering now i dont think its possible. It would make things a little better to have an hour timer or 24 hour timer.


If the population ever groes again to a good amount they will make new servers and hopefully that would bring it back but thats a long shot.
