DAOC is only Free to Try for 14 days after that it's a monthly fee
it's 14 days... you'll get alot done in 2 weeks so it's still worth trying imo~

Hi and welcome to DAOC
My suggest would be to find and join a guild asap. Should make getting grps easier regardless of whatever realm you play.
For a class, i say just make several and run them through starter zone up to 10lvl (or 20lvl), really you just want enough levels to get a feel for the class. But keep in mind some abilites dont kick in until you've gained higher levels since you will have gotten enough skill points to spend on various spec lines.
Also read through various threads here on VN, lots of info can be found

thx for the suggestions, am rlly looking for something f2p tho coz i dont hav heaps of time and am waiting on SWOTR so not willing to make a commitment. Also wouldnt mind having something that i can come back to occasionally when i need a break. srry if i wasted ur time.

Well, while its not f2p, the account will remain on file/server, so that at a later date you can pickup from wherever you left off

I for one resubbed for Dark Age after playing the SWToR beta. I don't care for the PvP gameplay in SWToR. I hate mirror classes. It's like playing WoW in space.
Dark Age PvP is always changing, always challenging, and has that certain IT factor to it. I get the same feeling when I play DAoC as I do playing Quake3, CS 1.6, Ultima Online, and Starcraft I/II-- It's just awesome gameplay.

There is no better RvR/PvP than DAoC, take the free trial, hit the battlegrounds, and be hooked.
If you do try it, you can google and download a character builder free to help you decide what realm and class you would like to play: daoc charplan.

If all you're looking for is a time killer that you won't invest lots in, why does it matter if its f2p forever or 14 days?
Try it out man! Worse comes to worse you've wasted nothing and maybe had fun for 14days.
