It's just how DAoC works. You stun an opponent then kill it. I agree it's somewhat lame and repetitive, but it's the way things have been for 10 years. I've always wished a stunned, mezzed or rooted target would take reduced damage to break the formula and make fights more interesting (e.g. stun nuke or aoe stun/bomb) or at least longer.
As I understand it, when they nerfed slam they left the immunity timer at 9x5 seconds = 45 seconds. So, most likely, you were hit with NUMB and purged it... then were re-Numed, slammed or reactionary stunned.

No it wasnt numb I am always careful about that. My fights with pure tanks on both my toons my BM and my Melee specced hunter both last a LOOOONNG time due to damage mitigation on both sides. They are always really close I dont lose all of them and yes I do need to l2p thats why I make sure I ask questions when I QQ and not just QQ.

Lastnight i took a mez from a bard and held off useing purge. As the mez was wearing off i was stunned, i still waited to use purge until an eldy ran up to start nuking me so i purged the stun ran for the eldy and was instantly restunned and nuked dead. I did spend alot of skill points on purge so i could deal with cc. Getting stunned twice in one fight is total BS and anyone that says its not, well there is just no talking to you.

Unless you are standing in an ST, theurg rr5 or attacking a cleric with the rr5 up, it is not possible to be re-stunned immediately as you claim. So you are either purging numb or another weak melee stun, or are purging some other form of cc. Perhaps the bard rooted you, and you purged that. A lot of bad players can't differentiate between the different types of cc.
