Ok here is my qq

Im fighting a shield tank. He thinks hes slick slams me at the beginning of fight. Lets say I have purge 3 that I paid 15 frkin points for. I use it, the shield tank and I keep fighting its a close but long fight. Bam here comes the SECOND slam shield tank wins. Seems kinda idk cheezy? on top of that now my 15 rsp timer is down for 15 minutes and If I decide to go out again Im susceptible to dying from a side stun a cd stun a back stun etc.

Second gripe about purge cost/usefulness. Im crossing a bridge on my stealther solo some deuche bag bard/caster sees me. I get mezzed now here is the predicament I have purge up but no phase shift. I know that if I use my 15 rsp point 15 minute timer purge that It will indeed be down for a real fight after this. So what do you do take the stun and gun right in the pooper. Or you can purge try to break los run for a tower etc.

My point/whine is purge is damn expensive, it is useful but when you blow purge that is so expensive only to be hit by another more powerful form of cc or even the same one again after waiting the timer out in the same fight... whats the damn point?

Don't know what to tell you w/o making fun of you really.
If you're dying because of a 5 second stun to a tank class, I don't think you can really gripe about purge. One of the biggest complaints about purge is because people misuse it, or just use it very poorly. I.E my Ment/Cleric have collected probably 1 million Rps between them simply due to people who didn't purge the right effect (Mez, Nearsight, Disease, Snare instead of the stun).

I don't exactly understand your second example to be honest. You're having issues with purge because in a 2v1 you couldn't run away?
Purge is THE most useful RR if you're running solo. If you don't like spending points into purge, join a group and hope they are good at demezz and healing when stunned... my only real advice.

The point is that the fight is supposed to end. One of you is supposed to die.

They already gave you 1 get out of jail free card that gets you out of any type of CC that you feel like getting rid of. What if you had to buy purge for mez and purge for root and purge for stun and disease and poision and debuffs etc.

I love chasing down stealthers that blow all their tricks trying to get away only to die anyway. So keep blowing purge, speed burst, phase shift and zephyr in no win scenarios; it amuses me.
