Let the game die already. |
Just let it go, if it goes then mythic will be forced to make another. Maybe not soon or in the next couple years but eventually it will happen. By them or someone else. The population is horrible, you dont have realm pride anymore because everyone is stuck on 1 server. I dont blame anyone for realm hopping, im sure every single person still playing has characters on each realm. Someone in the future will think hmmm Mythic had success with 3 realms we can too. But as long as the game still floats its free money for them.
I love the game and wish it could just instantly gain a few 100k subs and new servers but face facts, its going down slowly but surely. You had a great time while it lasted but please hang up the old boots and go shopping for a new pair. Try other games, more games can be fun or live life a little until the next one. No guarantee of course but why would there not be another one?
Seriously ask yourself if everyone quit right now in say.....a protest for a new game. Will it never happen? I doubt it, it would get made.
On a side note IMO I think subs would come back a little if we had a character and server reboots. Old servers not Ywain. That would give everyone an equal shot. New guys arent going to come and go rr2 vs a FG of rr10's, just not fair. I know it would suck for my characters also, spent alot of time with them but id do it. Play one realm per server, have realm pride and back to the good ole days.

Games require so much production value these days having 3 realms with 10+ classes on each side is not plausible. There's just no time for it

There won't be a daoc2 as the people who made daoc1 wouldn't even be there. Fact is it's a lost cause at this point, either play DAoC and enjoy it, or quit. Don't ask them to quit just because you want a new shiny

Play Cathal Valley and you can get up to rr4L9 and when you hit RR5 you can move on to lvl 50. If your group is running around at rr2 you should have known better, so deal with it. There's also a thing called zerging, which I'm sure you've heard of. Now if you want to be boss by yourself and run an 8 man, then do so without complaining.

Are you new to the game? Did you even read my posts about my name? It was mine and taken from me for some odd reason. I got the name back, never played mordred with it but still got what was mine to begin with. Also....kid? Seriously grow up and dont try to E-Thug in my threads, I'm probably older than your father.

Mythic is gone unfortunately. The bottom of the Camelot Hearld page has two names now, "Electronic Arts" and "Bioware". What was left of Mythic has pretty much been absorbed by Bioware and working on Star Wars The Old Republic.
When DAOC dies, there is no DAOC 2, no new RvR style game coming from Bioware. That isn't Bioware's style. If you like DAOC, probably the best thing to do is continue supporting what you have.

Won't be a daoc 2, and if there ever is the people that made daoc great won't be working on it. Good news is that some of the people that made daoc great are making a new mmorpg, 3 factions. Awesome head of community as well. Her name is Sanya.
