And btw, from my experience so far in CV, I think it might even be easier to hit RR5 in the frontiers than in CV. Sure the action is fast but people aren't worth nearly as many realm points. And like I said before if you are successful enough then all of the opposition just leaves.

So yes it would be nice to use CV as a way to hit RR5 and then eventually move out of there, but its more about just casually playing a class that you don't care to have at high RR, and having fun a long the way, where that class would otherwise be doing nothing.

Once again I stress that its more about the fun I can have along the way than it is about simply getting the character to RR5. I can live with a big RR gap in NF if I wanted to play a character seriously, it wouldn't take much time to start closing the gap, and frankly its something that everyone had to do at one point, so why shouldn't you have to do it?

Because as you so clearly stated, they are characters I don’t particularly care to play seriously in NF

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience in CV lately, so much so that I'm getting all these crazy idea's of what classes to level up next, and then i'm disappointed that I already have those classes at 50, and now they are doing nothing, I don't care about their RR, it's just that they are doing nothing and I could be having fun with them trying out new things in CV.

This is why people make specific BG perma characters

Nothing to fight for in CV other than to compare sizes of 8v8 e-peens. No relic, no keep bonuses. Stupid, pointless bg for 8v8 groups who think they're awesome rolling xp'ers and the occasional other 8v8 roaming groups killing the other realms' xp'ers. I'd rather just get rid of CV altogether.

Ideally I'd like to see a "copy" of CV for level 50 toons under RR5. However, upon hitting 50 disable "/rp off". This way people who hit 50 can play (underperformingly) in NF, or when they wish, in CV. However, you won't have people "camping" 4L9 in CV forever because they can't turn RPs off at 50. People who want to STAY in CV on a toon, just /xp and /rp off at 49 4L9.

In my mind this is the best option. If we allow people to "go back a level" to 49, they will no longer be able to play in NF when we need them for relic defense/takes or just taking back the realm. Adding what amounts to a level 50 battleground with the old rules of "if you play long enough you will cap out" seems pretty fair to people with the need to rank up their toons, and the high RR people who wish to farm said people.

People would still be available for relic raids, etc, on their other, level 50, toons. Or, they can take their level 49 toon. Also, a level 50 BG would take people from NF which just splits the population up more.

I think making the CV keep worth more to take would help a lot.

In the context of THIS thread, that is to say the options are either let them play CV at 50, or down level to 49, letting people stay at 50 would actually have LESS splitting power, as people could potentially play THAT toon in NF as well, rather than playing an alt. So if they are in a mood to play that class only, they can still participate in NF.

Further I can only assume the reason you dislike splitting up NF pop is because you see it as bad for the "health" of the game. I would counter and say letting new players/toons get to RR5 and being able to actually compete non-zerg in RvR would FAR outweigh any split in population insomuch as it would a) make these players time in-game more enjoyable, and b) reduce the number of "new" players who get to endgame, and then quit because they didn't realize that if they don't get to RR5 in battlegrounds their toon is basically worthless endgame and it will take half a year to zerg the rps necessary to experience 8v8.
