i used to repair my gear daily...

log in, repair everything, then go off to do what ever...

and i never thought it was a hassle or too much to micromanage...

i considered that easy mode compared to most other games.

try instead of just having to repair your gear every now and then... to having to replace everything on every death...

Not really anything useful there. He pretty much just stated when he repaired his stuff. If he had any reason to do it at those numbers other than just a whim he would of said "jewelry at 91% unless it doesn't have +skill on it.. then you don't have to repair it at all"

I could easily drop my bards instrument down to 70% con in a single day. Though I've found no use in repairing it because from what I can tell it doesn't effect my spells.

Er... did you click on the explanation part? The part that discusses double decay under 90% and has the perty graphs? O.o

EDIT: Though as I said, double decay was in-game 2004, not sure if anyone has tested it since then.
