I tried asking this in chat but nobody had a solid answer. Can someone please explain how to keep the keyboard layout seperate between toons. For instance, when I play a mending class I have group member targets bound to eight keys. Then when I log on my DPS toon, those same eight keys are bound to targetting group members for heals. I want those keys separate for dps spells. So I end up having to re-do my keyboard layout between toons.

Is there anyway to fix this crap?

/keyboard setup is saved on user.dat

qbinds are saved on char.ini files

you can bat or script a program for switching but imo the better solution is to change setup and make one more "universal"

I have no clue what you just said :-)

There needs to be an easier way.

/qbinds is what you'll need, it take a little time but your layout will fit each character.

A universal layout should contain the most common things that all characters have/do, fer instance the Sprint key would be the same no matter what character you're on. While class specific abilities and utitlity items my change between characters the same general keys are used.

once you've done your /qbinds find and save that file somewhere safe

It's OK, you have no clue about Supp RMs either~

The supp RM mark is retarded. Guess 99.99% of the realm doesn't know the superior uberness of supp spec RMs.

As for the keyboard layout. I already have most of my keys /qbinded. My question is this. How do you /qbind a target group member key? What's the command? Or how do I set a macro for target group member 1, member 2, etc.... so then I can use that macro for a /qbind?

Hope that made sense. That would 100% solve the problem if I could set a macro for target group members.

give me a few to lookup/through the /slash commands, in short you'll want to make a /macro that makes another /macro which you then place in the appropriate qbar slot

I guess you haven't learned from over two years ago or a little over a week ago. I also didn't realize popular demand was a defense when your argument gets ripped apart~

Actually, in MMORPGs, the popularity of a class in a 10 year old game is definitely a good indicator of it's quality. Especially when no (or very few) elite player choose the toon.

How about answering the keybindings question now?

Not that you'll read this, but:

Again, it's a spec for open field group fights, so it will clearly be less common than zerging or zerg surfing Dark or RC RMs. Supp RM is the spec of choice in BD, RM, SM setups. And Supp BD stopped being a group spec when the specialized pets were added to BD spec lines making Dark BDs far better for grouping for the dread lich.
