Interesting, great work Vanesyra. Slash/crush/thrust seem to be more of a factor on 2h damage than I would have expected.

i have looked into double specing within albion twohand and pole line. you need slash / thrust / crush to be:

ENEMY_LEVEL + 2

if you do not reach this point you get a damage reduction up to 33%.

DAMAGE = DAMAGE * (2 + (1H_SPEC - 1) / (ENEMY_LEVEL + 1)) / 3

so you need composite 52 slash/thrust/crush?

you need enemy level + 2 for dual wield aswell.

but something is a bit strange...

with 73 dw + 73 slash vs a lvl 50 mob i get:
- unstyled 83 - 115 for both main and offhand
- using the dw anytimer i get a style bonus displayed: +66 - +92
- counting both together would be a total damage of: 149 - 207 mainhand and 83 - 115 offhand
- but i get a total damage of: 153 - 214 mainhand and 83 - 115 offhand

i have no idea why ^^

had something close to that with some "bugged" weapons and styles. but tested it with another "none" bugged weapon and that works the same way. so for some reason you get a little extra damage when using a dw style, for a unknown reason.

an other strange thing (at least when using no style), you can swing your offhand only. without a "you miss" or so message on your main hand example (hammer mainhand, offhand falchion) and yes tested it with both weapon on right hand and 2h slot, same result. tested on a merc with 4.4 crush dragon mainhand and 4.2 legendary slash spirt offhand

[19:22:35] You attack Slash with your hammer and hit for 166 damage! <- main
[19:22:35] You attack Slash with your falchion and hit for 101 damage! <- off
[19:22:37] You attack Slash with your falchion and hit for 83 damage! <- off only
[19:22:40] You attack Slash with your falchion and hit for 94 damage! <- off only
[19:22:42] You attack Slash with your hammer and hit for 152 damage! <- main
[19:22:42] You attack Slash with your falchion and hit for 87 damage! <- off

EDIT:
did another test with only 1+23 dw. and also got extra damage when using dw styles. so maybe the displayed + style damage is just broken when using dw styles. it's also no value where i could see any connection to any other thing that could explain that. just a bit strange ^^

so basicly dw works like that:
- base damage (unstyled) is calculated based on 1h spec
- chance to hit the offhand is calculated based on dw spec
- damage done by the offhand is calculated as a base damage attack (unstyled) done with the offhand weapon as it would be a mainhand
- style damage, to hit bonus and so on are taken from the dw spec if you use a dw style, if not its taken from what ever line you use.

other words for rvr:
- get 52 spec in 1h line of the weapon type you use
- max dw for offhand hits
- max the line you use styles from (should be dw too)

what dw does not:
- it does not effect the base damage (unstyled) of main and offhand. it only increases the chance that the offhand hits

but still + spec gives you + damage =>
* (1 + 0.01 * SPEC)

So what you are saying is that if you go out and swing unstyled at a mob you will do more damage with 70 blades than you will with 50 blades?

okay i am currently trying to figure out what i have calculated there and based on what testing setup (also looking for the right log files ^^). but i think i just mixed weapon skill display calculation with real melee damage calculation.

so the right answer is "no" as long as in both cases you have "mob_level + 2 <= bladed" then you will deal equal amount of damage with both 50 and 70 blades. but your weapon skill as displayed on your character info has a huge difference (without a real reason ^^)

will fix that on the wiki too. damn it, what did i calculate there?!? if i only could remember it -.-

Could you share your testing process on magic damage formula ? The predictions I get from your formula are always 5-10% higher than what I actually get.
