The repeatable faction quest in the town is also zone crediting. So you can part a char there and have someone else kill what you need to do it repeatedly.

Now that I got friendly faction and have some scales. How do I turn them into items? Moreover, there are two kinds from loot: scales and molted scales. What is their difference?

You spend them at the dragon scale merchant in Jordheim. He's near the Vasudheim side of town. If you come into Jord from Vasudheim he's a bit to the left outside of a building.


And there's no difference between the two besides the name. If you have 100 of one type of scale and 100 of another different type, you can buy something that costs 200 scales.
