So i am completely stuck between some classes and need some advice form those who have played them. I am looking to play a Healer type that is just all around fun to play. I am currently stuck between Healer, Bard, & Friar. I love the fact that Healers can lockup a field rather nicely with all the CC. I love the irritating factor of a bard w/ speed and nice escape tools that the Healer also has. Finally i like the fact that Friars can go on the attack if needed however this requires a moderately different spec from strait up Healing potential. Overall I love the CC ability of Bard and the Healer but hate their limited offensive capabilities.
I have a 50 warden and 50 Druid and both are meh on play style for me. I have not played a high level Shaman or Cleric so I can't comment at all.
Please help!

I'd say pac/mend healer is the funnest of them all to play, assuming you don't mind doing 0 damage in rvr.

I'd say healer and bard are kind of close. Healer if you prefer a full group always and bard if you might like smaller action too. Friar seem more boring than any support class at all.

IMHO, if you want a fun class to play solo with some real challenge, try a Cave Shaman  You will have a hard time getting groups and you need to like kiting a lot...

I play bard quite often. It's a fun class to play but also meh in keep takes etc. I specced a bit in healing, like 33 or so, just for some good single targets that can really change the outcome of a fight now and then.
But once you are inside...and you can moc it up and interrupt everything in the lord room, it gets interesting then  They have good CC but not as good as a healers. Healers imo are the end all be all CC toon. And fun to boot. But I'm heavily rooted in Hibernia and I don't stray from there for rvr. Though BG's and stuff I like doing.
I'd say to keep to one realm when rvring...I'm old fashioned like that. And will tell you if you don't know anyone on hib you might find it hard to find a group, bards being a slight exception to that though, everyone needs a bard.

what about valk? they heal right? i havnt played one so i dont know the specifics.
i just see them healing and handing out beatdowns

Mind if he's going to do that, you might as well respec his drood nature. I've only solo'd a bit on the shammy, but I can't see how it will compare without a bunch of RA's. Don't get me wrong, it's fun, but if soloing nowadays you might as well play the most OP stuff possible - cos you will be getting zerged !

Bard is real fun to play, but I'd only roll a bard if you have people to play with. Finding a group with any class in hib is pretty tough if you don't know anyone.

I dont think they make near as good of healers as anything else on the list. But that may be a moot point.
