Having probs, not a techie by any standards. But my comp cant find game.dll, and I try to manually find it in my DAOC files, and I cant from the open window. Any clues as to where this is?

Pretend the instructions say, "Find DAOC's install folder."

When you click on DAOC's install folder, the OK button will light up. Then press OK.

Sorry for the confusion -- until recently the selection window allowed you to see game.dll. Then I changed to a different window that only allows you to see the folder. I should have changed the instructions when I changed windows, but I forgot.

Legit. Thanks man. You da man.

Microsoft publishes unfinished products all the time. It's called a beta test. Nobody yells. Public beta tests are a good thing.

Mojo's not even at the beta stage yet. This is an alpha test. That means the main features haven't all been written yet.

I think public alpha tests are great because they allow users to help design the program interactively. That's fun for people who participate in the test. They enjoy seeing their ideas turn into code. It's also fun for me. And it improves the quality of the program tremendously. Triple win.

i have often seen MS release patches, fixes, and minor programs without icons.... of course those are usualy CLI progams.. but still, not every program needs an icon.

I was reading about people asking about this feature just last week, and was really surprised to see it implemented so fast. Nice Work!

I was able to test it and i have some suggestions.

I tried to ask mojo to open the sc progam file to add the gems, but I realise that was a mistake. I needed to make a .txt file and ask mojo to read that.

Perhaps a place to paste the report directly in mojo where it would read from there, instead of having to open notepad and save a new file?

Add a space or a line every 4 gems in the gem list. It is a bit cluttered and hard to verify after there are 20 plus gems on the list.

Each gem selectable (and editable) once it has been put on the list. I Had to delete 1/2 my gems on the list to make a correction to gem I added earlier in the list. Perhaps make the dividing lines editable too, if you have an item with less than 4 gems (legendaries).

Thanks for all the hard work, might have a few more suggestions when I have more time to try it out.

yes it does bother me, the fact that you are putting this out when you look like such a GD noob programmer makes me sick and gives every other programmer out there a BAD name? what if MS or Mapple were to put a product out there without an icon or put out an unfinished product, you would YELL to high heaven!

yea your mojo thing has some features some retards think are cool, but they are old news and i could code circles around your ass. I do it all day long at work, Cpp, C#, asp.net, java, vb6, vb.net, html, xml, cobol, jcl, db2, sql and all that shit. I do this for a living and if i put an app out there with missing shit i would get fired quick. That's why i get upset, if you are goona write something for people to use and to steal features and crap, at least do it right!

edit: Oh robbie i love how you took Cheatkeynet out of your sig

Edit2: Will You PLEASE stop creating new VN accounts to pat yourself on the back, gets old and obvious REAL FING QUICK! Easy to tell, < 10 posts lol, Feb '12
are you kidding me?

You say all of this...but never come through with anything. Your arguments are like saying 7zip is a total rip off of winzip or winrar, LOL. Just because something provides the same function doesn't mean it's stolen. What really makes me laugh is the fact that DAoC chat fixer looks worse than Mojo. You say you code circles around him, then do it.

And to say that he is stealing features is bullshit to begin with. The only thing the programs do is copy a document and rename it. Damn man, you stole your features from Microsoft (and they likely stole it from somewhere else)! I mean dang dude, Microsoft already allows me to copy files and rename them, why'd you have to steal this?

Instead of crying about it, own up to your claims and write a better program. Or, let your nuts recede into your womanly parts and drop out of the competition.

P.S: He doesn't have to create accounts to pat himself on the back. His user base is growing loyal and providing him with helpful feedback already. Unlike you...who is alienating his user base and looking totally pathetic on a public forum. I used DAoC chat fixer for a long time. Never again, and good day to you sir.

It wasn't a mistake. It's my intention to have Mojo read files from all the spellcrafting programs, but it's not completely implemented yet. Please send me the file that it couldn't read, and I'll change Mojo so it can read it.

You don't need to open Notepad. You just need to press "Import gem file" and tell Mojo the name of an existing file. At the moment it can read any sort of file that contains gem names, which includes Gearbunny files and Korts text files. I'll add support for Korts XML files tomorrow. I'll add support for other types of files as fast as people send me samples.

I agree it's hard to read, and I've been planning to increase the leading (white space between every line). If I break the text into groups of four, people will think there is some significance to the groups of four and they'll feel puzzled. When they type text into the box themselves (which they can do) they'll wonder if they have to duplicate the irregular spacing.

That's how it is now. I'm curious to know why you thought it's not.

What gave you the impression that you had to do that? The rectangular box is a text editor. It's like a small version of Notepad. You can type or edit the text in any way you want.

Did you just assume the rectangular box isn't a text editor, and you didn't try? Or did you have some problem?

Just got home now and tried it again.

I press import gem file select the .gbt file and nothing appears in the gem list.

If I add gems manually, go to one of the gems on the list, highlight it, then add a new gem, the gem is not replaced, it is added to the last spot on the list.

Could you email the file to me please? I'll PM my email address to you.

That's how I designed it. The menus always add a gem to the bottom.

When I say the rectangle is a text editor, I'm talking about the rectangle, not the menus. The rectangle works like Notepad. That doesn't mean the menus work in any particular way. You can select and edit text inside the rectangle like you do with Notepad -- by copying, pasting, deleting, and typing -- but that doesn't say anything about what the menus do.

If you want to move a gem from the bottom of the list to the middle, you can do it like you always do with a text editor: select the bottom line, copy it, put the caret somewhere, and paste.

I'll think about changing it. My concern is that if the menus replace selections, then they should also place their text at the insertion point (blinking caret). But I think the second thing would be confusing because most people won't even notice the caret, and they are likely to put it in random places accidentally.

Im not sure if Im different or not, but when I set up my bars I have all the gems set up in order.

4 gems in a row for 1 piece of gear. If I cannot replace a gem in the list, in the order I have it set up, it will screw up the bars, and I'll lose track of what gems go where.

Ill send you a .gbt file. I also tried a .txt file from this same .gbt and It will put the gems on the bar.

I keep telling you over and over that you can do those things. You can change the order.

You can move gems from one place to another in the list.

You can replace gems in the list.

I don't know why we're not communicating. Maybe somebody can step in here and translate between the two of us.

Occasionally with testers I run into this sort of communications problem.

I take this problem as a sign that I've designed the program badly. The program is able to do something, but the user can't see it. It's my fault, it's bad design.

In this case I must have oversimplified the appearance of the Spellcraft tab too much and you can't see that the rectangle is an ordinary text editor.

Maybe the problem is that I'm assuming people are familiar with the Control-C and Control-V hotkeys in Windows, and not everyone is.

Maybe if I add an edit menu to the rectangular box, that would solve the problem.

Thanks. This will be the first time I've seen a gbt. I didn't realize there are two kinds of Gearbunny files.
