People who say ADD doesn't exist are just fooling themselves with their anti medicinal campaign~ As a child I was diagnosed with ADD after my parents put me through a weeks worth of various testing~ Though on the flip side I never took the medicine that was given to me to "aid" me with my "disability" I feel that ADD exists, though I'm not a fan of the route doctors are taking in order to temporarily cure this problem, and that's all it is... a temporary solution. As soon as your medicine starts to wear off you're either forced into popping another pill or learning to cope with the fact that you have ADD.
You have so many children and even adults being misdiagnosed with ADD because sadly it has become the new fad~ So many kids now a days are addicted/abusing drugs like ritalian, concerta, etc that it's starting to become a real issue. I decided to visit a doctor (not my primary) to see how easy it would be for me to get a script for ritalan~ My first visit and I was walking out with a 30 pill script~ Physicians are giving this stuff out now a days as if it's candy~ And then you wonder why you have so many children getting hooked on other pills such as percocet, valium, etc etc~
I had ADD when I was a kid or maybe it was a lot worse when I was a kid. My parents found or determined that it was through food allergies. We never went with the Medication route either. I have to really concentrate some times and other times I am fine. It is funny now when I look at my son he has some of the same tendencies I did. By in large he does rather well but we are working with him and I won't be getting him medicated.

who cares. my finals scores directly reflect the awesomeness of adderall. i dont believe i've ever made less than a 90 on one.. even on subjects i previously didn't know.

See, I never took meds but I had the highest ASVAB, ACT and SAT scores out of any kid in my high school my junior year and that includes beating seniors. I didn't even study. Mmmm...Adderal?
