I knew of one kid when i was younger that was so high strung that he was on medication. But this kid was literally bouncing off the walls hyper if he was not on them. I had never heard of another kid on meds for it for probably 20 years. Kinda sad the scam pharmaceutical companies are running now. Screwing up a lot of kids health pumping that crap into them.

It's not just big pharma, but also the mental health profession/ parents that want a quick fix that are partially to blame
sure big pharma made these drugs but there are plenty of parents and mental health professionals that would rather just write/ask for a prescription than actually try to get to the root of some of these problems

Dont' forget the schools. if a kid is any kind of trouble to teach or control. It's send em to a shrink who talks to them for 30 minutes. Calls it ADD and writes out the prescription. My brother almost had to sue the school because he refused to put his kid on the shit. They told him to put his kid on drugs after a 30 minute evaluation or else they would not let him attend school. Well they lost that one and the boy is 19 now, working a good job and functioning pretty normal.
