One time purchase.

If we set it up before any sort of merge, then we can just use a PM me on VN for verification system and anyone who doesn't have VN access still can jsut email a buddy and have them PM someone.
Guild Wars II? Are you guys REALLY gonna make me look into it? One time purchase sounds awesome though.
ETA on GW2 release? I wasn't planning on looking at anything else until Dominus came out.

Summer probably.
It's a big budget MMO, no subscription fees. World v World pvp that's basically DAOC2 where your server competes with two other servers for keeps/relics/points/etc. Servers rotate every couple weeks to keep competition fresh and even and keep populations balanced. Unique classes. Skills are tied to the weapons you have equipped currently which makes for some interesting decisions (example- elementalist with staff is mostly long range aoe, with dagger is mostly quick close range melee attacks). PvE is story based similar to SWTOR and has public quest style events similar to WAR. All abilities can be cast on the move and there's no mana/energy/whatever bar. There's no holy trinity - no true tank classes or healer classes, instead you mostly use defensive abilities if you draw aggro or use big, long-cooldown heals. All classes will have some sort of support skills to back up the person getting killed.

Only if we can have a Hall of Fame section where we copy some of the classic great threads for preservation. Or maybe the Galahad Museum of History would be a better title.
And ya, totally the only VN forum I visit. I don't care about post counts (obviously).

Sure, assuming we can transfer our post counts too
. . .
The forum software I'm familiar with allows for manual editing of post counts. so it'd be doable.

Bumpeth, where are you at with this dear Umlap? If you are no where I might be forced to take atrociously unskilled action that will nevertheless provide us with a postage location despite the cheesiness of said location.
Basically I don't wanna put together forums, but I will if no one else wants to.

I haven't taken any action yet since I haven't heard any further on the urgency of losing this board. I'm happy to put something together either this weekend or next if we want to go ahead and get the proverbial ball rolling just in case.
