Probably if the whole board moves to a user-friendly forum, but not if they merge into the IGN-maze-of-death. I still have to get to this board from my old bookmark, login, and go back to the bookmark. When I go into IGN's new login, I end up on some quasi-related page and can never find the VN's.

if it even happens it'll be months before this place goes poof, we'll have better information on what boards are getting moved over and which aren't.

I assume... but do you really think the original daoc server boards will make the cut? It wouldn't make sense imo.
Also, if this were to happen and we know it's x months until vn Galahad is gone forever, could we get a sticky with where we'll be posting for those seldom-stalkers?

I agree it would be a good idea to get this rolling sooner rather than later.
What would we like to see on new forums if we did them?

Mods? I for one wouldn't worry about moderationt oo much if it's the same community we have here
Voting on post count icon things for holidays and stuff (no red eyed sperm)
User validation so we know people are really from Galahd? or sponored by Galahadians?

absolutely. not sure what system we'd need, but most forum software allows for requiring permission to register, so that should be easy enough. maybe a note or email/text/pm here to say 'hey, I signed up there. this name: [name] - Ideally same/similar to names here for simplicity sake, but w/e

Only rules we really need are no porn, nothing horribly offensive, and don't be a dick. It would be nice to not be modded every time I let a curse word slip by though!
Other rule is all of you have to buy guild wars 2 cause we need to play games again.
