i think our ice line needs something unique which can really differentiate and identify us as siege master.

would it make sense if:

-Air nuke has a given/small percentage of snare.

-Ice nuke comes with a percentage of debuff.

I do a /who theurgist 46-50 all the time (also on guinevere). I pick this range, because that is the range of eligiblity for loot on a Sidi raid. There are anywhere from 5-15 level 50 theurgists on at a given time with 1-5 level 46-49. Theurgist is my favorite character for Sidi raids not because of his abilities, but because of my odds of getting a drop.

Theres a difference between RvR played earth theurgists and PvE bot earth theurgists just in the same way as RvR played rejuv clerics and RvR bot enhance clerics .... a shame that.


I'm sure I'm probably the only RvR 'Played' Earth Theurgist on Excalibur

- Siege Elementals

- GTAOE in Earth Line

- Siege Equipments Buffs and Debuffs

- Double the damage Siege Bolt does, yes I have Siege Bolt. :/

- Make our Elementals Insta cast with a timer

- DD spell in Earth Line

- DoT in Earth Line

I think the idea of making an Earth Theurg a powerful siege class is a good one. Many of the ideas in this thread for that are very good. You only need to implement a couple of them to make an Earth Theurg an actively played class instead of a PBT Bot.


Besides, would it really be overpowering to have GTAE available in two places in Alb? Especially with it in two weak spec lines?


Wind Theurgs are obviously nukers with some utility (weak mez, 10 sec PBT, run speed, buffs). Already a decent spec, any additions to the other lines would have some small benefit to Wind Theurgs so they probably don't need any direct help.


What I'm not sure of is what to do with Ice theurgs. They have mediocre damage and mediocre CC (full range and duration, but a root doesn't help a caster when your rooted opponents can still attack you at range and interrupt your casting).


I'm not sure if any of these would be the right fit:


1) AE Damage (a wizards domain, and only clear role that they can do better than anyone else)

2) Better single target damage (maybe more utility damage options like DD/Debuff. Would still leave Theurgs with weak offensive options in this spec. Full DD damage is the domain of wind theurgs.)

3) More CC (Ok, obviously a bad idea....)

4) More utility (AE dex/qui or Str/Con debuffs? Resist debuffs?)

5) More buffs (something defense related that would help tanks in the field. Wouldn't help the bot situation much though)


Whatever the fix, it should be in line with the concept that Theurgists are part of the Defenders of Albion and fight in the field next to Armsman, Scouts, and Friars. The PBT fits with this, as well as their beneficial buffs (damage add and haste). Would be nice to see the class concept included in the fix.
