Jod and his croonies were camping svasud gate the other night and I engaged them solo. I took out 2 or 3 and finally got caught by cc and killed. Jod and some other goofnut then precede to spam emote my corpse for a few minutes.

So yeah they are lame punks imo. It sucks to judge a entire guild on the actions of a few but being a jackass appears to be in the TNO charter.

Are you guys talking about real bakery donuts, chain store donut (Dunkin Donuts, Krispie Kream, etc) or the lame boxed donuts? Also, full sized or mini? These things affect the value of the wager.

I went looking for where's George and I found dollars to donuts:

Layman's meaning:

I'm so confident of my assertion, I'll bet DOLLARS which are measurably valuable TO your DONUTS which are worth much much less, in fact, shaped like zero's, and still feel that the long odds I have given are justified.

Original phraseology:

DOLLARS TO DOUGHNUTS (or donuts) - "The almost forgotten terms 'dollars-to-buttons' and 'dollars-to-dumplings' appeared in the 1880s, meaning 'almost certain' and usually used in 'I'll bet you dollars-to-buttons/dumplings.' They were replaced by 1890 with the more popular 'dollars-to-doughnuts' (a 1904 variation, 'dollars-to-cobwebs,' never became very common, perhaps because it didn't alliterate)."

From "Listening to America" by Stuart Berg Flexner (Simon and Schuster, New York, 1982).

The phrase "Dollars to donuts" first appeared in the US around the time of the building of the continental railroad and was brought here by the Chinese. The actual phrase is "Dollars to dog nuts", dog nuts being a delicacy in some parts of China at some point. Supposedly, the stridently religious liked the concept of the phrase but were offended by the reference to canine testicles and simply changed it to "donuts", which they considered to be...umm...more palatable on a couple of different levels.

Interestingly enough the popular New England soup called chowder also has it's roots in ancient China. Apparently, when served a bowl of this fine soup, a patron asked the cook what was in it and the cook replied, "Chow...duh."
