I prefer leaders who let you know when you messed up or are sucking (Torm and Lara come to mind). The guild is for playing the game, you can socialize with people not in your guild without a problem.

Pretty good Tormond. New job, traveling a bunch, overall good though. 3 championships by my home teams in 375 days. Can't complain.

People should know when they suck and step down on their own, instead of whining when others don't want to carry them anymore.
Sorry, couldn't think of a nice way to say that. I play that way, and would never want to be a detriment to any group/guild I join; oddly, because I do value the friendship more than the arpees, so I don't put my own wants/selfishness over the 'group goal'.
No idea if that makes sense.

There's usually running a gank group, or running a casual open guild with tons of friends. The two don't usually go together because you get issues like this.
The problems arise when you try to do both, and have all your friends, but then be elitist at the same time.

The Yanks though are vulnerable in the health department. None of those arms are particularly young. I think this year will end much the same as every year of late -
Yanks win the East
Sox win the wild card
Sox and Yanks fight to get into the series.
I'd give either team a good shot. The rest of the important competitors got worse.

The bottom line though, for loellan, and anyone else who feels they've been burned by group setups and the like, is that you can never place your "fun" in someone else's hands. It's got to be on you. As soon as you turn it over, you lose. That's not to say that things couldn't be done better, I already said they could, but ultimately it's on you.
