Nice read Odin, I agree 100% about small venue shows. I have been to a ton of arena shows, but all my best concert memories are from small clubs and seedy dives.

I was trying to describe to a friend why I enjoyed the smell of Cigarettes. She just didn't understand that a show in a small, cramped, overheated venue wtih 20 too many people completely rocking out reeks of BO and Cigarettes, and leaves you feeling better than you ever thought you could.

Yay for small venues. When I'd been going out with my wife only a couple of years, I showed up at her house about 1am one day wearing a brand new Inspiral Carpets shirt that showed a glow in the dark cow with the words "COOL AS F--K", sweat-drenched from head to toe, and smelling like alchol and cigarettes (despite not having drunk or smoked all that night). Impressions!
