Watching Ferd mature some, has been entertaining and somehow oddly rewarding.

I'd like to thank my two dogs, Rufus and Rocket. I'd like to thank Mythik for inspiring me to post like a madman in my early ACF days. I'd like to thank NWK for making me seem less pathetic.

*****************

Well, well... I never thought I'd be so lucky (unlucky?) to get one of these threads. And it's brought out the Ferd-lovers en masse! That's new... considering I think, at one point, I was ACF's most infamous poster.

If by "younger" you meant something along the lines of "under 20," you're right. It's... *looks at his caldendar*... four months and 18 days until my 19th birthday. Not that you CARE.

Let's start from the beginning...

I was born at 2:02am, July 29, 1986, in St. Joseph's hospital in Bellingham, Wash., to a man named Michael and a woman named Tracey. They were married, so you'd be a liar if you called me a bastard.

**fast forward**

As anybody who's ever talked to me in real life knows, I played soccer as a kid. These were the glory days. Ahh, yes, those wonderful days when I pwnd the competition in soccer. Err... well, you see, they put me in the wrong age group my first year, so I was older than everybody else (only by a few months, though!). First game ever, I scored four goals in the first half. My coach pulled me out of the game, "To give the other kids a chance." In the next game, I stole the ball from a teammate and scored a goal. In the rest of my life, I think I scored two goals.

**skip childhood**

I'm one of those poor saps still living at home with my parents, going to a community college, and not working. In fact, just like Franklin Roosevelt, I've never had a job (though I haven't been President). Unlike him, I'm not from a rich family who just pays me to do nothing.

I still live in Bellingham, and it's a rather dull place. As such, it matches my personality and I have no desire to leave (except to escape the inundation of rain throughout half the year). I'll (hopefully) be transferring into Western Washington University ( http://www.wwu.edu/) for next school year. If not, it's off to the Coast Guard with me.

I made the mistake of being lazy in high school; my GPAs, in succession, went something like this: 1.5, 1.4, 1.1, .78, 2.1, 2.7, 3.5, 3.0, 3.1, etc.... everything past the .78 was when I was getting dual-credit through Washington's Running Start program, taking college classes for free. Okay, so a GPA that's about 3.0 at a community college isn't so great, but it's a hell of a lot better than I was doing in high school. (Last quarter, paying for the CC, I got a 3.9, which IS good ). As such, I couldn't get the scholarships I needed for school. I was actually offered about $26,000 in financial aid (I was offered about 6k of that in need-based aid, though I really needed more, since my dad's getting 26k/year on NAFTA unemployment benefits). However, that was still $4,000 less than I needed, so, no university for me.

I'm surprised people here on ACF still like me... or maybe it's just that only the newer members like me. As I said, I was once one of the most infamous posters on ACF. I was one of the first three posters on ACF to get over the 50ppd barrier (not weekly, but over my entire posting career). I beat Mythik to 5,000 posts, surprising as that may be. I sort of... fizzled, after that, much like Glaenie.

When I was a top spammer, I acquired my posts primarily by annoying everybody on ACF with my incessant religious posts. I got involved in discussions that were really quite over my head. I think the thread that finally turned everybody on ACF against me was when I advocated "reorientation therapy" for homosexuals. *ahem*... fear not, I no longer believe such ideas to be the proper way to go about things.

I also spent a fair amount of time talking about my then-ACF-girlfriend. We don't need to go into that, though, do we? Suffice it to say, online relationships with young teenage girls are a very DUMB idea. Mmmkay?

I suppose I'm now something of an "emo" poster on ACF. I don't whine as much as NWK, but people seem to know me as the resident virgin, second only to NWK in how pathetic I am. I'm not certain how that came about (though I am, in fact, a virgin).

The "emo" tag may be a bit justified, since I've been known to write bad poetry, on occasion. I've also written some stuff I actually like, but... well, you don't need to read that, do you? (If you REALLY want to, you can PM me and ask.)

Writing poetry is probably one of my only real hobbies; that, and my incessant, obsessive combing of the IMDb database. I'd be something of a film buff if I actually had the money to spend on seeing many movies. I do... acquire movies from Blockbuster (using their Netflix-clone program online) fairly often, admittedly.

I don't have the time for hobbies, though. I spend a lot of time on school. I'm really enjoying my lit classes, and the reading for them DOES tend to take some time...

*****************

I like cheese, sausage, and long walks on the beach, watching the sun set . (Wait... I've never actually DONE that with somebody, since I've never been on a date. Never mind.)

Another herald puts down his flute,
And the dewy dawn creeps on,
And the night withdraws.
