Finding the smith she showed him the dings in her armor and weapons, handing over a gold coin for it all. Then she pointed north to the stableboy, riding into the snowy lands of snowdonia. Keltoi was too crowded, too many people come in and out and she wanted nothing to do with any of them, especially the ones whom she had respected before she fell into shame. She looked around the mountains, finding the entrance to the layer of the goblin named Tepok. Looking inside, she found none but the festering goblin horde. She knelt on a knee, said a silent prayer, then proceeded to destroy goblin after goblin, the thrill of battle helped forget her despair. The blood of the goblins splashed against her dark armor and her sword.

Emlae’s cold distant answer to his pleas had had their desired effect. He felt his Heart fall from his throat to the pit of his stomach in a second. He din know what he would say to Lady Emlae when he got there, and he din know if he could have an effect, but nonetheless, this cold exchange was a crippling blow to him. He could do nothing ta help her. He could not even draw breath it seemed ta help her.

As she walked away from him, he lifted his hand ta her once more, but it all seemed too lil an too late. His hand felt heavy and time seemed ta slow to a crawl fer him as she quickly walked away. He stood there for awhile, others runnin by him oblivious ta anytin but their current foes down here in Keltoi, and wondered… wonderin what more he coulda done, what good was this Gift for, what words could ave moved her, what he was even doin here, why he felt like a broken third wheel, why he even bothered. Again, he was faced and plagued with thoughts he could not shake from his soul. He could do nothing yet again. He had failed yet again. A heavy, weighted single sigh escaped him, as almost as if it could have been his last tepid, defeated breath, and he finally moved his feet forward after stayin in that spot fer what seemed an eternity.

Walkin through the dark corridors, his feet guidin him more than anytin since he used ta walk these dungeons fer days on end, he brushed by more than one green-eyed aggressive Filidh. Not even carin ta defend himself or to even parry blows that did land against his plate, he continued ta slowly walk out towards the exit…

And so he exited, decidin it best ta not look back and to not get involved…

Emlae looked onto the assemblage of Leaguers from the banister from above. She looked as Crispian called one by one up to be recognized. She didn't know why she was here... but she had hoped, just maybe, Lady Hammerfel wasn't really dead. But looking on to the crowd... there was only one Hammerfel there, and that was her younger sister Apolexia. With a heavy heart, she headed back out of the church, back to the mines of Tepok...

It was with a glad heart that Arcalan finished her second days ride to Snowdonia Station in the Black Mountains. She stabled the horse and made her way inside the Inn. A few regulars were chatting away and stopped to see who was passing through their lands, but little attention was paid to her overall.

She knew Jashen was meant to be here already but she hadn't caught sight of him yet. She ordered a light meal and reviewed what she knew of Apolexia thus far. Finding this Basaia could be difficult but it was necessary to learn what had transpired. LLyn Barfog was not a long way from this Station and she was welcomed by the natives there, and feared by it's lesser denizens.

She spun round with a smile to greet the familiar voice at the bar, and had to stop from shouting "Jashen!" like an excited little child. She composed herself and skipped across to say hello to him, taking in everything about him that had changed since her last meeting many weeks ago now.

"Good morning m'lord Jashen!" she beamed "I trust you're ready to venture into Barfog with me?"

The image endured with Azaeli.. a man, holding a serpent in his left hand... he came to her again in memroy, but riding upon the back of a terrible dragon.. who was this figure?

The dragon she had added from her own thoughts, that hadn't been what she saw wehn she fell to the farmer's blow... where did she get that image from? Some old memory lingered at the back of her mind, like a cut in her mouth she could flick with her tongue but not pinpoint it. It hovered on the edge of recall, but slipped from her like smoke.

Surely she'd seen this figure in some book before.. not exactly the same, but alike...

Who was he?
