Mymal my clan brother,Im glad you got your problem fixed but did you try to take the disk out first? It might have worked.

Now Selune, Your problem is easy to fix. takes two mintes. Go down to your basement and you should see a grey box hanging on the wall with switches in it. There will be one named MAIN all you have to do is turn that switch the other way and your set. You will never have another computer problem again.

I hope this helped.

Try disconnecting the cd-rom drive. Alternately, take the cd out.

Optional: Replace the Asheron's Call CD with a different CD of your choice.

Note: Do not use another copy of the Asheron's Call CD.

Might be too late to suggest this, but instead of buying a new PC or shooting the current one, make an attempt to remove the Asheron's Call CD from the CD-ROM Drive. the drive is usually D: within Windows. the CD is the one you used to install AC, but won't be necessary unless you need to install again.

I had the same trouble a while back, and i also found it very annoying...after speaking to a trained proffesional, i found that there is an obscure button you push....what was the name of it again??...oh ya, eject...you will see a drawer open, inside there should be a circular disk, kind of like a record only smaller...remove that, close the drawer, and your problem may solve itself.

On a side note, i am sorry for dragging this out, i just dont want to be left out.

Wow! I had that EXACT SAME problem for the longest time. I'm trying to remember how I fixed it, tho...seems to me my roommate left a Korn CD in the cupholder and after that the movie never played. So, I guess you need to put in a Korn CD...

Damn, does it have to be a Korn CD? I mean they have some good songs but I'm not sure I want to hear that every time I start up AC.

Take your AC CD out of the CD rom drive, look real close at the silver part and see if you can figure out where the movie begins and ends. Use a pencil eraser to remove the movie portion of the CD ROM.

Once the movie part has been erased, set the cd rom on your desk, do not reinsert the CD. This should fix your problem

it doesnt have to be a korn cd...it worked for me when i put in everclear. so id suggest getting either a korn or everclear cd and putting it in. i wouldnt even mess around with other cds because they might not work. oh and the help desk said it must be your isp because it sure couldnt possibly be MS causing any problems.

First you have to find the drunken madman outside your door at your apartment. Give him 5 bucks and he'll give you a note to take to Sdlkfjsd Ibn Woerumllkj Al-Yemnxclkjsfd. Then he gives you a Shiny Dagger(butter knife) and tells you to go kill a "tusker". Head to the San Diego zoo and steal a Koala(sp?). Kill the koala and return it's hide to the guy at the local police department. The nice man will more than likely throw you into a new dungeon called "Jail". Once in this dungeon you must search for someone who has a "key". Kill this guy and get out of the dungeon and return home to the drunken madman. Give him the key from the jail and the key to your apartment. He should walk in and take the CD out of the drive. =P

Yea it's a long quest but at your lvl you should be able to solo it =P
