Yeah get him just some LSA, and he should be fine 
and when he is not home run him on the frost stone quest, dont even bother w/ the tool, he may figure out how to take it out and drop the armor...

A hollow weapon would probably be pretty cool for Zarp as well. Neat swirly things, you don't see too many people with one, and it's no drop.

I'm going to give him my Globe of Auberean next time I see him.... To 'apologize' for killing his drudges I suspect he'll really like that.
