Excellent

Thank you very much.

If I may suggest a few things for the next version ...

1) An Icon with a big boot.

2) A "start/stop" button.

Otherwise, it's PERFECT.

Once question. What is the maximum number of people that you can have in the list?

This is what I posted on the Harvestgain Server, a nice little plug for your plugin.

Tired of griefers swearing into your guild and annoying your people in /a chat? Wish that Turbine would expand the "ban" list so that you can counter people who have access to more accounts than even Arch Magi?

Well here is the answer to your problem ... automatically give them the boot with Virindi Booter - 1.0.0.0

http://questers.polarism.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=16312

Install this little program on any machine that is logged in for a long period of time (buff bot, portal bot, greeting bot, etc) and make sure the bot is either the monarch or a guild officer with "booting" privilages, and start adding names. It will start a count down timer then cycle through the list of people you don't want in your guild and one by one, boot them (the entire account) out of your guild. Keep it running, and even if they swear back in, it will be only a matter of time until they are "out of your hair" again.

Dishwasher safe, and Buff Bot approved.

Actually, I had one further suggestion. The ability to generate a log file and append to that file with the date and time that a particular in the list was booted.

Then you could see who and how often are trying to get in, and thus the Monarch could use the limited number of "/allegiance ban" commands more tactfully.

You just want it to log whenever it successfully boots someone?

How does the successful boot message work? Does it display a different message for each char, like this:

Attempting to boot XYZ (account).

XYZ has been booted.

ZZZ has been booted.

b has been booted.

Or does it just tell you about the one char you named? Either way, if I knew the exact text that appeared I could add a log function easily. Wait...I just realized I have a monarchy of level 5s on Darktide, I'll go check it out now

Edit:

x character[s] from CHARNAME's account have been booted from the allegiance.

If the char does not exist, it says nothing.

I'll get to work...got to go somewhere first though.

Okay, released v.1.1.0.0. There's now a start/stop button, and whenever someone is successfully booted a line is added to bootlog.txt in the plugin directory with the char info and the date/time.

Draw a good boot icon, Magi...16x16.

Well, so far I haven't caught it booting anyone yet, but I mainly just added what was already in our ban list. We are now in the process adding dozens of other "known accounts" ... just in case.

This is what I get back when it does not find someone ...

0 characters from <persons name>'s account have been booted from the allegiance.

I have seen this message when it does find someone ...

1 characters from <persons name>'s account have been booted from the allegiance.

"ou just want it to log whenever it successfully boots someone?"

Yes, that will be fine. I'll install the new version tomorrow and keep testing.

I'll come up with a 16x16 icon tomorrow when I'm bored at work ... instead of trolling.

So far, so good. It's been up and "booting" for 24 hours straight, and doesn't seem to mess with the ElTank buff bot in the least. Even when it is casting spells on someone.

<< Hence my new motto ... "Plugins, to do what Turbine should have done long ago." >>

Turbine should have added Combat Macros? I don't think so.

There is a difference between a plugin doing something, and how it does it, compared to how Turbine has to do something. Plus you toss priorities opn top of that. What percentage of users do you think are using this plugin? Is that something worthwhile for Turbine to spend resources on?
