I know there is an AC Tools plugin already, but I want a Decal plugin that does the same thing. That way I can make my buff bot and Allegiance Officer and run this program in addition to the buff bot program.

What it does: In a nutshell, it would issue a single command, over and over again, based on a user defined frequencey and list. Here is the command: @allegiance boot –account [character]

Why it is needed: Because Turbines "ban list" is toon short and there are people out there that have nothing better to do that to grief a guild for jollies.

If you are worried that it could be used to "keep alive" ElTank, then the simple work around is ... make the minimum timer longer than what ElTank needs to be updated to stay in combat mode.

Ideally you could add 50 or 100 or 1000 names to a list (either in game or outside the game) and every X minutes it would go down that list and take the next name on the list and then automatically add the name where [character] is in the @allegiance boot –account [character] command.

My StartMeUp plugin (which needs to be updated for Decal 3 still) could do something like this at login. I don't think it would be too hard to get working again as it used ACHooks and no Imp Filter stuff as I recall. Adding an option for timer to re-run the commands if desired could be possible.

I run an ACTool macro that 'syncs' my Friends list and Squelch list on all my toons. I set up a F list and S list and login each character to clear and set the lists. Takes about 30-40 secs per toon, I do this once a month or so.

You could do the same with a guild boot list, but the whole idea sounds ridiculous and smacks of paranoia. How does a player 'grief a guild'??

Well, I could say one word ... <Edit> ... and you'd get the idea (But I may be banned for mentioning his name here because he is currently banned), but if you want a more detailed explanation ... http://forums.ac.turbinegames.com/showthread.php?t=26999

Trust me, everyone in TLoC knows that "<Edit> is NEVER to be let in the guild" ... but then again, because <Edit> has made a "game" out of "infultrating" us, all he does is delete a toon, roll up a new one, level it to 20 or so (about an hour), wait a few days ... swear to one of the 5500 toon in the guild (you remember, this game is a MMORPG and the idea is to have and build a patron/vassal relationship), act nice for a day or two, exploit what he can out of the guild, then when he is off his "medication" blow a head gasket and terrorize the place when he knows that one of the 2 people who can actually boot him aren't on (which is most of the time, since we both have lives and aren't online 24/7).

Examples of what can be done:

Cussing on the /a channel and knowing who is a guild officer and monarch and when they aren't on to take action.

Taking advantage of otherwise generous guildmates (loot, tinkers, etc)

Hoarding a buff bot and just generally wasting tapers/plats.

Looting the few remaining "Red" players in your guild (basically intentionally ignoring the rules).

One of the reasons I wrote StartMeUp was to make sure a certain player hadn't snuck back into the guild, that enjoyed casuing mayhem on the two times he managed to get into the allegiance. Various ways a person can grief a guild.

Well Arch, I read that thread and now I know EXACTLY what you are talking about - I, too, have a major problem with "The One Who Cannot Be Named". My squelch list is full of character names of TOWCBN, but it's amazing how he appears on new accounts all the time. Does he have an endless supply of cash or what?

This is a problem that Turbine needs to take responsibility for, they have access to everyone's IP address, no? And they should perma-ban that IP in a case like this, mulitple instances of long-term griefing that affects everyone's play environment.

Banning an IP address works, if the person's IP address never changes. For the most part mine doesn't, but it has from time to time. It could work though. Ban the credit card they are using too. If they want to apply for dozens of credit card (and drive their credit rating down), let them.

True, but getting Turbine to do anything is almost pointless.

Hence my new motto ... "Plugins, to do what Turbine should have done long ago."
