Yup, with Stoic Enchanter gone, I've been using Castaway for my self-buffing needs now.

I cant comment on it being faster or slower Anton, But I dont see how you could get any faster than ELTank to start a buff sequence.
You tell BuffBot, "Mage"
You tell BuffBot, "Buff"
Or for banes as well.
You tell BuffBot, "Mage"
You tell BuffBot, "Olthoibane"
Open trade, put in armour, close trade.
You tell BuffBot, "Buff"

But then you couldn't add any extra profiles if you wanted, or correct any mistakes (You tell BuffBot, "clear" .

Most of the profiles are all inclusive, and we have a queue system so you can add as many buffs to the queue as permitted by the bot user. Plus there is a remove command for removing yourself from the queue.
Different approaches to buff bot is all.

Things I like about Castaway:
Brill
Status advertisement with low level thresholds
Compatible with It! EULA
Things I like about Tankbot:
Simple ingame profile editing

Castaway does lack that.

If you are xml savvy then it is not a problem, even if you aren't xml savvy then it's still not a HUGE issue.
But I get scared anytime I'm editing XML. Like something I type is going to make my computer go nuclear...
The only reason I bring it up is I have several characters that have unique profiles and I can't seem to get the singles from the menu to work, so I end up casting the spells manually.
A for instance, my item only xbower has all critters on armor except crossbow. He even has some lifes, so with Tank I simply profiled the ones he needed and named the profile blah. It worked great, I have as of yet, not been smart enough to do the same thing with castaway. Trust me I tried, and wow did that get me in trouble with my computer. Anyway, I really like both programs for buffing, both are tempermental and are able to break if users are not careful with them however.

One thing that Castaway will do with all other spells is automatically fallback to lower level versions if it doesn't know the spell in question. So if the bot doesn't know Boon of the Mace Turner it will try Blud Protect Other VI, then V, etc. All part of the code, no user interaction required.

I saw that
I'm becoming more xml brave every day I work with it, and one thing I seem to remember hearing about was "instances" like when someone logs on it would kneel or say something on allegiance chat. I could be confused though.
**edit**
Sorry I suppose those aren't gripes...
So my gripe:
I wish that if I modify botspeech at the main file it would filter down to all the individual character files, I did that and didn't realize I had to change the character file folder, so I kept broadcasting I was a doofus for not editing the default files...
