Hi,

An option to use volley spells would be a fantastic improvement in mages xp/hour since volleys do about twice as much damage as a bolt.

Also an option for wall spells could come in handy in some situations.

LMAO

Turn you back. Ya thats it.

Oh and don't buff.

Oh Oh, and don't weild a wand. That ticks them off. Use the carrot dagger instead.

Did I forget to mention you should yell the spell words as loud as you can at the monitor? Noise spooks them.

Last thing, most important too. Be at 300 burden. They can't sink their teeth in if your packed to the hilt with all your good loot.

Ok now to seriously answer your question, no. '

The option of setting specific spell types ( read as: walls, volleys, streak etc. ) would be nice.

You can ask on the El-Tank forums, worst that can happen is you get flammed.

Elgar is pretty cool, if he likes the idea, ( read as: it is worth it to him to program it in ), it will likely get added. If not, hey nothing lost.

Wait my bad, you probally won't get flamed there.

Better stay here where its nice and warm. There is always someone here ready to toss gas on you soon as you make a spark.

Migy, sounds like you don't play a mage with ring spells....

There is some 'overlap' on the 'parts' of the ring spell from the back of the toon, if you position right, on a regualr size critter you can double hit, larger critters can get 3 and possibly even 4 hits from one ring.

With a mage it doesn't nearly as much which side the creature is attacking from, a bonus to having them behind you while casting a ring, you are less likely to get a misfire as you can adjsut to get enough of a 'clear' space in front of you for the ring to form.

Yep yep, Best way to Fight with rings is to position as many as you can behind you.

As Heid once said to me, there are more rings behind you...

Plus a mage does not get the targeted attacker bonus to their melee D, and vice versa, monsters do not have a not targeted attack bonus. So attacks to the rear or front are treated the same.

The bonus that Sau Kolin's Swords and other volleys' and blasts' have over rings is that the damage is directed forwards across approximately 45° or in a straight plane, Whereas with rings you can do 4 blasts to the rear, you can do 5 blasts to a much narrower path, concentrating more damage directly in front of you.

When I had war I preferred Flensing Wings over Sau Kolin's Swords. As a reborn Martyr I can only hope the martyr mage will get similar spells.
