If it reads 'Application=ACDCClient.exe' then you havn't done a clean install.

Ok I did this and you were correct.

So I did the whole clean install again.

I even uninstalled Dual Client first just in case it was somehow involved.

I have the *same* problem still.

change it to say Application=ACClient.exe

you can't just uninstall ACDualClient and hope the problem goes away.. you should read the sticky threads in the Decal support forums... specifically the ones in the User to User support forum... that contains a lot of useful information that would have saved everyone a lot of time (most importantly, yourself)

Thanks Drakier.

(Just for the record, I wasn't blaming AC Dual Client: I love the program.)

I understand..

I didn't even begin to assume you were thinking or saying any such thing.

I was simply trying to clarify that ACDualClient didn't previously clean up after itself very well (although the newer versions do)

and the uninstaller especially doesn't do anything to the Launcher.ini file.

Hopefully with 7.2.2+ the Launcher.ini will be kept in a condition for players in a way they would expect it to behave... the launcher.ini is changed only while ACDualClient is open, and is changed back on exit of ACDualClient.

That is my intention at least, so I hope it stays that way.

I think I might have to make a change to it however to fix it in all paths and not just the configured path. *shrug* We'll have to see.

Edit:

I was also attempting to point you to the sticky threads in the appropriate forums...

If you read those stickies first, you can usually save yourself a LOT of wasted time. The answer I gave you was already in the sticky thread on the Decal forums, and you wouldn't have had to waste any time troubleshooting the issue. You could have self-diagnosed the problem as the ACDCClient.exe, and you could have made the appropriate corrective actions yourself based on that diagnosis.. all without posting or anything.

Thanks again.

Actually I *had* followed a sticky on the Decal boards. What surprised/confused me was that the procedure that worked on my one computer didn't on my second. It was that difference that had me wondering....

I will edit the .ini and see
