is the 2 or 3 digit number degrees and you choose the closest? Or do you use a range percentage? (ie, if number 1 through 4, 1 is north, 3 is south)?

I think im missing something when setting up Go Arrow, how do you get Go Arrow to use your recalls, lifestone, house and mansion as starting points? I have the correct coords set in for all of them but for some reason it wont use them as start points.
Example
My villa is about 5k from stonehold (2min run at most) when standing at the villa and clicking here for the start and setting stonehold as end it has me starting at the Sub and hitting 4-5 other waypoints with a total distance that is longer than the run from my villa to stonehold.
Even if I havent missed something ( and im sure I have) I will continue to use this plugin. It is exactly what I have been hoping for. Thank you for putting your time into it.
It's possible that there's a bug in the route-finding code. I'll take a look at it.
There was a bug, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I had forgotten to add in the extra run distance associated with using the start locations (by default, Abandoned Mines has an additional 1km run associated with it, since you need to run through the dungeon). Not taking into account that extra run distance, it's shorter to use the route generated by the plugin than it is to run from your villa to stonehold . I just fixed this.

The second. All of the images should be numbered sequentially: 01, 02, 03, etc.

That's odd. Could you look in the GoArrow folder for errors.txt and paste its contents? If it's really long, just post the last few errors (or ones that look relevant). If errors.txt is not there, then GoArrow hasn't logged any errors.
I'll look and see if I can replicate the problem you're having.
------
I had an errors.txt message once, but it got discarded during the process of finding out why acclient.exe was crashing to the desktop as soon as I killed a critter (it turned out that Buzzard was causing acclient.exe to crash as soon as I killed anything). Ever since then, even though the inability of GA to reload its files after a drop to the logon screen has occurred many times, errors.txt has not been recreated. If it ever does show up again I'll post a copy of it.

It actually can be either, but for all but the "Simple" arrow, it's the first. In the arrows/ subfolder of the GoArrow folder, there's a folder for each arrow. The name of the folder is the name of the arrow. Inside the arrow's folder, each frame is a PNG image named arrow_f**.png, with the ** replaced by a 2- or 3-digit number (01-99 are 2 digits, and 100+ are 3 digits). You can have as many or as few images as you want, but if there's only one image (named arrow_f01.png), GoArrow will take that image and rotate it on the fly.
-----------------------
These will either be a couple of stupid questions, or a lack of knowledge on my part, but....
For the hell of it, after reading the above, I removed all but "arrow_f01.png" in the Red Glass folder (the arrow I like best) and ran GoArrow. Yup, just like you said, GoArrow happily used just that one image and rotated it as needed.
So, given the above, here's the questions...
If image 01 of a given arrow shape is all that is needed for the plugin to work, why include images 02-xxx???
Is it just to make the arrow movement look smoother??? If so, do you load all of the shapes into a buffer so as to effectively remove the time it takes to load each image???
Mind you, I'm not complaining about it or saying one way is wrong and the other right, I'm just wondering why you chose that method for the first four arrow shapes, but not the fifth (or vice versa :-).

In short: eye candy .
All of the arrows except "Simple" have shading and drop shadows that make the arrow look more realistic as it rotates. If you look at the arrows as they rotate, you'll notice that the light appears to reflect off them differently at different angles (as if the light is coming from a fixed point, rather than rotating with the arrow). Pre-rendering the images also allows them to rotate around a point that's not exactly in the center of the image. In the case of the Simple arrow, there is no shading, reflection, or drop shadow, so it works to just rotate a single image.
Rotating an image on the fly is slightly slower, but looks smoother (it can rotate the arrow to any angle it wants). Using pre-rendered images uses slightly more RAM (probably about 3-5 MB for Chrome, less for the others) and more choppy (it can only rotate the arrow to one of 180 angles for Chrome, or 90 angles for the other arrows), but is slightly faster since it doesn't have to do any rotation of the image. I chose to make it support both options so I could include the Simple arrow without increasing the size of the download very much
And yes, when you choose a new arrow, it loads all of the images into RAM -- it doesn't read from the hard disk every frame.

This plugin rules beyond all other ruling, Digero.
It routefinds better than any other plugin ever has.
It's simple to use -- the interface is intuitive and I didn't have to read docs to figure it out.
It doesn't do crap I don't want it to do by default. It's non-intrusive.
Plus, it's got a spiffy arrow.
