Without the Decal .NET Lifetime Service, none of the plugins that use Decal.Adapter will be recognized, or work. This is pretty much most of the plugins written in C#, and VB.NET

I now have TWO plugins installed that are not It! (for the curious, the other is Quest Timer)

I love it, and I am REALLY gonna love getting it installed on my wifes computer.

A couple of options to think about for the future...

Add a 'Last corpse' arrow, if you play like I do, it will get a LOT of use.

Add the ability to /f or /t the coords to others, in a format both human readable and that will be recognized by Go Arrow to automatically set the arrow of all fellow members using it.

For routing, add the ability to use town gems as a starting point.

And if the arrow could be 3d (foreshortened so it appears horizontal instead of vertical) like that would be awesome.

I think im missing something when setting up Go Arrow, how do you get Go Arrow to use your recalls, lifestone, house and mansion as starting points? I have the correct coords set in for all of them but for some reason it wont use them as start points.

Example

My villa is about 5k from stonehold (2min run at most) when standing at the villa and clicking here for the start and setting stonehold as end it has me starting at the Sub and hitting 4-5 other waypoints with a total distance that is longer than the run from my villa to stonehold.

Even if I havent missed something ( and im sure I have) I will continue to use this plugin. It is exactly what I have been hoping for. Thank you for putting your time into it.

If I understand what you're asking correctly, then here's how to get them to work.

If you have them turned on to be used by GoArrow (set by a separate button below the window) then the coords should be set automatically when you use the recall. If not, do the following...

1. In the window tab that shows the recalls, highlight the recall you want to set.

2. Below the window is an input box, either click on the "here" button or hand enter the coords in this box in the same format as used in the above display of recalls.

3. Click on the "add" button.

4. That's it.

Whether or not the recall is actually used depends on the route you're generating. But, by setting them up as listed above, they were always used (when appropriate) for any of the test runs I ran through GoArrow yesterday.

I had a problem similar to yours yesterday because the first time I set up my house/allegiance specific recalls I kept forgetting to click on the "add" button.

GoArrow could keep track of where you are when you die -- is that what you mean?

There's currently a command that will /f or /t your current coords in a format that's human-readable and that GoArrow will turn into a link. It wouldn't be too hard to make it also possible to send the arrow's destination coords.

You can already do this. Just add the portal gem's coords to the Start Locations list on the Route Finding > Settings tab.

The software I used to make the arrow images (Fireworks) doesn't do 3D. I haven't found a way to make it do a passable 3D-ish arrow like you described.

It's possible that there's a bug in the route-finding code. I'll take a look at it.

Digero, I love the new GoArrow, especially the route finder. That allowed me to remove ElTank.

I have noticed a problem though. Namely, when switching between toons GoArrow quite frequently seems to get confused and forget where its support files (the arrow files and settings.xml etc.) are located. When the toon is loaded into the game GA shows up on the Decal bar, but the arrow is no longer displayed on the screen and the route finder is non-functioning. When this happens, for example when changing the arrow graphic, an error message is displayed stating the arrow is not visible because GA couldn't locate the graphic files.

The only way to fix it, until the next time it happens anyway, is to completely exit AC to the desktop and restart.

Do you use a series of images for the arrow position, or do you rotate a single image?

If the first, I could give it a try If the second, it will never work with out some 3d programming.

That's odd. Could you look in the GoArrow folder for errors.txt and paste its contents? If it's really long, just post the last few errors (or ones that look relavent). If errors.txt is not there, then GoArrow hasn't logged any errors.

I'll look and see if I can replicate the problem you're having.

It actually can be either, but for all but the "Simple" arrow, it's the first. In the arrows/ subfolder of the GoArrow folder, there's a folder for each arrow. The name of the folder is the name of the arrow. Inside the arrow's folder, each frame is a PNG image named arrow_f**.png, with the ** replaced by a 2- or 3-digit number (01-99 are 2 digits, and 100+ are 3 digits). You can have as many or as few images as you want, but if there's only one image (named arrow_f01.png), GoArrow will take that image and rotate it on the fly.
