I loaded the Warcry database into Go Arrow, but it is nowhere near as complete as the acspedia database was.
Tried to find the Toad Idol which has been in game for a LONG time but it didn't show up, nor could I find it on the Warcry site.
Is it even being maintained anymore?

Yes it is, what we need is a web form for people to submit places so we can then review and add to the database. I'll point this out to others.

Even nicer would be a web service so we could write a plugin to submit updates  |

Thanks, the Warcry database worked, but how do I update the map/terrain?
I have the locations for Viss isle, but there is no land mass... all the locations show up as being in water - Kalieth.
-you will need to use a cell.dat converter to get the updated map for acx.. or u could get dereth explorer.. use its map
update function.. you will have to point it to your file turbine.. ac.. client_cell_1.dat.. let it run then go to the
dereth explorer folder.. copy the standard map.. save it as a .bmp .. then rename it "dereth" .. cut and paste it to your
ac explorer folder and replace the one there with it... the cell.dat converter thing was posted on zuggs ac explorer forums
somewhere.. kgober supplied a link to it.. i found it easier just to use the dereth explorer to update the map.

The COD database is missing quite a few places that have been in game for a long time, like all the Blackmire/Burun King Dungeons (except one), and no info on the Blackmire portal drop exits, to name but a few. Adding information is difficult, good luck trying to find a link.

You will probably want to add a flag column to the database somewhere to indicate that it has been 'approved', then all the tools that pull in data from that db will need to be updated to only pull 'approved' items when they update.

Wow...nice to see people use that feature! It was something I put together for myself only and I wasn't sure if anyone else ever bothered to use it! ;-)
Too bad you still don't have that old atlas editor, Maddy. Remember, that really smart and incredibly handsome one...me  |
