IRC is still in LT, you just can't use any remote controls. This should have been the case from 11.7.0.1, but apparently there was a bug that was still letting people do this and it didn't get fixed until the IRC code was cleaned up in this latest release.

Thus my question, why?

Your question has already been answered in the multitude of posts on this subject. Read them over again if you still have questions. The answer is there, and I'm tired of repeating it.

<<IRC remote control commands and admin detection are no longer features of LifeTank -- they haven't been since we took it over and released 11.7.0.0. >>
<<Strange that it worked in 11.7.0.1. I did some cleanup of the IRC code (not mentioned) in 11.7.0.2, which may have corrected this. Regardless, it's working as we've always intended it to be.>>
It does not explain why anywhere. Just that you "decided" or "intended". If you don't even know why, just say so.

It seems to me this is classic "the road to hell is paved with good intensions" case.
I understand you want to fight UCM but your actions are doing exactly opposite.
I will explain later why but first about ACM/UCM.
Attended means at the keyboard right ?
But even with your fingers on keyboard you can be watching some fascinating TV scene which gets your attention.
Or you can have alt-tabbed client...
Or you can have more computers around you...
and many many more cases when you're at keyboard but CAN'T react.
Macroers are a bit more progressive people and there were some evolution in meaning of words ACM/UCM :-)
ACM means you can react if you hear alarm. Because you're around...
For example if somebody come to your spot and ask you something. You can react...
UCMers can't.
Yes some of them have loud-speakers near their heads can wake up and react but nobody would do it.
Not because somebody came at their spot.
Do you understand where is the line ?
ACMers are "good" guys, because they can response to others asking about spot about room in fellow can move to
other spot...
UCMers aren't.
Because they are in work, in school, sleeping...
When you decided to remove admin alarms, only change was that UCMers just switched off their loud-speakers.
But they had only admin alarms set to wake them up so no big deal for others.
I bet in that moment many strictly ACMers gave it thought if it's still worth to ACM when there aren't admin alarms.
You know if there is exactly same risk to be cought while you're ACMing as while you're UCMing why not UCM 24/7 ?
And yes there is difference (at least was). There is still worth to be ACM.
You can hear (other than admin) alarms and pick up uber rare,
save your died char, solve out of comps problem, response to fellow newcomers,
check if XP/hour isn't too low (something is wrong sign)...
ACMers have a lot of reasons why stay close to computers and take advantage of it.
Unfortunately all of them are tied to irc commands.
Now you completely killed all of these reasons.
There is no difference between ACM and UCM, because ACMers can't react to anything if there is no irc alarm.
ACMing and UCMing have now same risk and even same (dis)advantages.
It would be stupid for any ACM to not start UCMing.
just my 2 cents...
and remmember... it's paved with good intensions...

the difference between ACM and UCM is NOT an alarm. Just because you hear an alarm and run to your computer does NOT mean you were attended. This has been stated quite clearly in the Turbine CoC. If you require the use of an alarm to alert you to an admin, then you were not attended. End of story.
Just because you are not CAUGHT is a completely different issue, and unfortunately for those who play by the rules, it seems that you're not guilty unless you get caught (in many people's eyes).
ACM means AT the Keyboard AND attending your character. Just sitting at the keyboard is NOT enough to call yourself Attended.

Icoo; just so I'm clear... none of those are problems when you are watching the screen. We went through this whole song and dance back when we removed admin alarms. We know people don't agree with it and we know it made breaking the CoC more risky.. believe me, we did every bit of that knowing exactly what the repercussions would be.
There is still a noise if someone sends you a tell. There is still a noise if you find a rare... and there is still a noise if you die (but if you're watching, you wouldn't need a sound for that, but that's another story).
The only thing IRC did was get rid of people using IRC to control their client from a remote location... remote being somewhere not infront of the client, hense, unattended.
Simply put, if you don't have time to play the game, then don't open or leave the client open.
So, what was your point again?

Anyone having problems with LT switching targets after 1 arrow/quarrel? Since the update, after I shoot a quarrel LT switches to a different target if there is multiple targets with in my range. I have auto swith to best target clicked off, and have tried with it clicked on and still the same result.

Why does LTxi's Helper try to heal fellow members that are way out of range?
