I dled decal and all of the components needed(.net etcetc) but when I run AC i get an error saying that injectionhook.dll failed to intialize(or something along those lines). So I change it to old style injection, and when I do this after I select my server AC just quits on me(not in my process list or anything).

You have some inconsistencies...


for example.. you have DarkSide Filter installed, but not LifeTank.


You're missing the Decal Hotkey System completely.


You don't have .NET 1.0, or 1.1 installed.


I'd recommend going to the Decal Forums and doing a "Clean Re-install" based on the instructions in the sticky on the forums there.

Do you have any anti-virus programs installed?

Yes, i run kaspersky, it hasnt [visually] tried to stop it from running, and it normally prompts before making any action against suspicious activity.

Kaspersky has caused issues silently before.


Try disabling it and see if it works then.

did you change back the injection method?


Also.. make sure Kaspersky is completely shut down and disabled... I've had issues in the past where you "tell" it to shut down, but it doesn't completely follow orders. Some people have said that uninstalling Kaspersky has fixed the issue for them... perhaps you might want to attempt it just to see.. if it still doesn't work, I don't know what the issue is.... if it does work, then most likely Kaspersky is flagging Decal as a threat and not allowing it to do it's thing.


This goes for anything you have installed related to malware... adaware type programs with "monitors"... spybot, etc....


anything that monitors for threat can potentially cause an issue with Decal injection as Decal might be incorrectly flagged.
