Turning of UAC is the best thing to ever happen to my Vista machine.


I can't believe how annoying that crap is.

Don't forget not to use McAffe, Norton, or aVast Antivirus, AVG Works though.

I just unchecked the Run as admin box, and left the UAC alone. Works great now no more annoying boxes coming up.

Hmmm, for some reason i discovered that the .net actually causes my Windows Movie Maker to not work..........

To change your UAC ..


Go to your Control Panel .. then User Accounts .. in there at the bottom you should see it. If not, look at the side bar.


I suggest you read up on what you are changing. As much as it will not break something, it's taking away from what Vista has inhanced to protect you.
