If it is having a hard time reading your document folder then you have bigger issues. A control isn't being loaded in Castaway, which means it isn't installed or installed incorrectly on your system. I'll browse through the code and see if anything jumps out at me. The XML was the obvious one to try.

I do agree that something up on on reading and writing to the documents folder (XMLs). This works correctly on my other computers here.


Can you clarify for me .. do you believe its a code item from the castaway.dll? .. or is it something to do with the MSXML runtime not functioning as expected?


I'll look at it again this weekend and run Process Monitor (procmon.exe from Microsoft) to see whats happening when the attempts to write occur.

Well, my guess is that the DLL is trying to call an object that doesn't exist on your system. The first guess was around the XML stuff, but it could be something else too.

hmm, looks liek I am not alone here with the errors. everything Roogon has posted is what I have still. I've retired everything that I could think of form your info here Maddy.

There used to be a couple other buffbot programs in the past but now it's only Casataways, which sadly won't work for me
