Castaways help needed |
I am running the version 1.7.0.894
the problem I am having is I cannot set a wand for some reason
Always ensure we're using the Set Wand when casting - is checked
"Castaway: Always use set wand now enabled."
when I click on my Drudge Scrying Orb and hit Set Wand, this is what I get
Castaway: Setting your default wand to equipped wand:
no wand is recognized =/
any ideas as to fix this ?

I assume you tried re-equipping the wand and/or relogging?

As a test I removed the entry for my wand in botconfig.xml, fired up AC and was able to set my wand in Castaway without any issues.
So Castaway can't either get the guid of the wand you have equipped or it may have issues writing to the xml file.
Try equipping another wand and see if you can set that. If you can then there is an issue for someone reason with that orb. If you still can't then check the write permissions on the botconfig.xml file for that character.

yes I have that message happening, I have tried 3-4 different wands now
I'm running Win XP

Post an export in look in the Castaway log files for any error messages surrounding these events.

so far I have this error in my log folder
ReloadXMLFiles() Error: 91, Object variable or With block variable not set, Loc: Re-Loading C:\Program Files\CastAway\Settings\Leafcull\Red Scourger\BotSettings.xml
I've looked in my BotSettings but cannot find the line for error 91

Hmmm...
That isn't the correct location for the XML files. None of them should be under Program Files anymore. Uninstall Castaway, delete the Castaway folder under Program Files, and try re-installing using the file from this location: http://www.buwahaha.com/CastawayBot/release/CastAway.msi

okay, I un-installed and re-installed to that route,
My Documents/Castaways
went IG and tried the wand again and still nothing but the same error

so I don't know =/
