Only get these pops when I close out a client (sometimes even if it's just one client while ACDC is running) and Decal is never running at all.


Hopefully Drakier can answer this one. It's not that big of a deal, but it does suck when you're trying to get NorthWatch keys on 2 or 3 clients and when you go to switch characters, it crashes, and then you miss the NPC.

did you follow all the guidance on installing decal/plugins on vista/win7 OSs? IE, don't install to c:\program files\ folder where there is write premission problems and one must ensure that each time launched it's launched as administrator?


ac-dc at start up opens edits and writes back the launcher.in file so it starts up acdclauncher.exe. and when closed it then edits the file back to aclauncer.exe that way if if ac-dc is improperly de-installed (in the past) folks don't have trying to launch ac while it's looking for a laucher.exe file tht was deleted.

when I couldn't get ACDC to even work before, I uninstalled EVERYTHING and created a new games folder in just my C:\ drive. I installed everything individually to that and finally got ACDC to work. So yes, everything is in a separate folder from the default.

quick question, do you have direct 9x or the 10/11x installed.


not everything in 10/11x is backward comptable so runing older stuff (decal, ac) can cause issues. thus some folks have cleared up issues on the newer hardware/OSs by installing the direct 9x file from the decal site.

Try disabling the virindi view service and see if that helps any. I really don't think it will help but its something you can try.

Don't think so. I mean, he said that it happened when Decal was not running. If Decal is not running, VVS can't be the problem
