Hey all. I recently had a new computer built. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit. I decided I want to get back into AC. I read up on forums first about any issues I might have with install and the dos and don'ts. I installed AC and Decal outside of the program files folder into their own seperate one. Sometimes when I go to load up AC, I will get to the server select screen and click on the one I want. It will give me the little loading icon on the mouse, but nothing happens. (Yes, I run AC and Decal as Administator.) Decal loads up fine when I do actually get in but the problem is that when I bring up the Hotkey Window for example, everything starts to run tremendously sluggish in-game.I'm not to much of a techy, so I figured I could come here and get some advice as what to do, if anything. Thanks in advance!

decal windows will make ac run slowly, keep them closed except for the times you actually need to do something and then close. obviously best to avoid as much as possible opening window and doing a lot of activity while in hostile conditions.

On a new system, I wouldn't expect opening a decal app to slow you down that much. Read over this thread and see if you missed anything that they did....

Ok, so I checked over everything again. Do I need to install Lifetank into the Decal folder or make a seperate one? Followed the steps on that other thread to make sure I had everything and it seems right. Do I need to install any of those links from the first post of that thread?

Good luck getting Lifetank to work on Win7 x64. I tried to get it working for a couple weeks when I first install Win7. Then I switched to VTank, and found it to be such a better program.

Could you post a link? Lifetank seems to run decent but if their is something better, why not. Windows Compatibility Mode picked up something and it seems to have fixed the login issue I was having. As far as the Decal Hud lag, everything seems to be installed correctly. Could it just be Decal itself?

Post a decal export. Could just be you have a lower end video card.

Edit: Just for sh*ts and giggles, disable Lifetank and the Darkside filter and see if you can log in ok with no problems.
