Updating instructions


Go Arrow:

1) Open Go Arrow and go to Atlas > Update

2) Change the URL to wherever you saved the new data_cod.xml file. (In my case C:\data_cod.xml)

3) Make sure Database Type is set to Crossroads of Dereth.

4) Click Update, when Finished click Update a Second time.

* Current number of locations in database: 4,979 (Normal)
* Current number of locations in database: 4,878 (Non TN)

Or:

1) Open Go Arrow and go to Atlas > Update

2) Change the URL to <One of the URLs Below>

1) Back Up your existing data_cod.xml file located at C:\Program Files\Dereth Explorer\Data\data_cod.xml by default

2) Copy the new Data_cod.xml file to C:\program files\Dereth Explorer\Data\

I know that the Henry.greer links have been down for at least a few days now, I tried updating from them a few days ago (with the August data) and neither worked then.

I appreciate the work in maintaining this DB. I'd bet a number of other folks do as well :^)

The Henry.greer links are down. I have not heard from my clan mate in over a month.
I have had no responses to emails,pm or phone calls.
Needless to say I'm worried some r/l crises may have occurred.

Thank you for the info. I was thinking the same thing, I do hope that is not the case though.

But I do have the other places to get the file from for just such a reason.

When I put that new crossroads of dereth database location in it causes everything to crash with .NET errors.

I just tried to update from http://www.warcry.com/ac/apps/db/atlas_xml.php ][/link] and it worked fine for me, so I'm not entirely sure why yours crashes. I'm sorry I could not be of more help.

Does it update using my files?

can you disable route finding with town network?

this would be helpful to find fastest routes without using TN, on darktide for example

Yes, download one of the Non-Town Network files from the first post, and update using it. It "should" route using all available portals that are not part of the Town Network.
