Is it possible to import routes into Vtank as individual files? It would be very cool if you could get recorded routes for quests like Caul Recall, etc. Load the route from the correct place and boom, you start running. Imagine having them for Harlunes, etc.

Thoughts?

Are you asking for something similar to vTanks IG map, except that it's preloaded with a route?

I interpreted your questions as: Can I have separate routes for various quests that I want to go on.

To that question, I'd say: of course! In fact, I operate with many different routes that either I have built, or a guildmate has built.

It would be simple to build nav routes individually for each quest you run routinely and just load that route once you're ready to run it.

This is actually a pretty cool idea. Would be a pain to sit there and click the waypoints as you are doing a quest though.

The routes are just small .nav files in your /VirindiPlugins/VirindiTank directory. You can share them or send them to others just fine.

That is what I was getting at.

What I'm thinking is, much like the default loot profiles that people post, we could start a library of default routes as well. So if I ran Deru Tree and recorded a route, I could save that route (or series of them) on the site for others to DL and use. I don't play during peak times and I miss out on a lot of quests, so I find myself reading wiki and trying to solo things. This would help a lot.

I thought about doing something similar, for things such as pincer dungeons, tusk dungeon, jaw dungeons etc...

I thought it would be nice for those that get lost easy in dungeons (like me). It would also help when you're running multiple characters through.

Currently I don't have any built (other than my current huting routes), but I wouldn't mind building a couple of them at some point to help some folks out.

not a bad idea, several of my guild mates and I share nav profiles.

word of caution, BSD while 3 exact dungeons each has different coords. Thus nav profile built in bsd (Obs Plains) will not show/work in the Teth BSD - nav profile is required for each. Suspect this is the same for PotB, EO and any other duplicate looking dungeons.

This is true with every dungeon with multiple copies, such as EO, PoTB, the Halls of Metos, et cetera.
