Another bug with 2.9.6.4:
BotShopper, which I know hasn't been updated in ages, is behaving oddly for me. It's now giving me 12 of the same initialization message it used to give one of. It adds one more message to the list every time I log out and back in. So next time I log in it will be 13 messages like this:

It still works for its intended purpose, but I'm afraid that in another few days I'll be logging in to forty or fifty messages. Any idea what's causing it?

No idea, joe.
If more people don't give out exports with the crash to desktop bug, there's really no chance of it actually being fixed, btw. I have no idea what is causing it and the one export shows a pretty old Radeon card. Is it noise or signal? Who knows, because the other person didn't post an export.

i log on the one machine that loads botshopper but i only see 5 or 6 lines.
what's this about an export.

I need to read, I thought Boromir didn't post an export... but he did. It isn't related to ATI or Nvidia in particular. Meh, there were a good number of changes to 2964 that make are going to make this one a little annoying to figure out what the exact issue is.

Some FYI/R&D information about the toon switching CTDs that has been
going on for years( i.e. nothing to do with Beta Decal).
In .Net plugins
Decal.Adapter.PluginBase exposes Startup() and Shutdown()
In COM plugins
IPlugin2 exposes Initialize and Terminate.
Running only a single test plugin I have it log receipt of the terminate. I
then begin switching toons until a CTD occurs. I see that whenever there is a CTD I do not have in the log the terminate event.
In this COM plugin, I typically watch for
Server message 'Logging off...' and
perform some basic shutdown work. The Test plugin then
waits for Terminate event to finish shutting down.
The logging off shutdown basically unhooks any events
from Decal( i.e. WorldFilter.OnCreateObject:=nil). It
also kills any timers and outgoing communication to decal.
What strikes me as significant is that if I move the logging off shutdown code
into the Terminate event I still see that on a CTD that there is no log event
showing the receipt of the Terminate from decal. This indicates that clean up
of all resources is not the cause in this case. I still suspect that something in plugin's
code is still setting things up for the CTD. I suspect this because given two plugins using
the same shutdown code they behave differently as to number of toon switches that can occur before
a CTD is seen. My best guess at this point is somewhere along the line Decal has a list of plugins that are attached and after a few logouts it hangs onto a defunct plugin pointer. When it then begins to issue
the terminate events to plugins it sends one to a defunct plugin causing the CTD.
Now if there was a Decal debug log maybe it would show where things are going poof at.
Course this is about exiting toon CTDs and does not speak to the entering toon CTD that occur.

only plugin that i know of that cuases, for me at least, is castaway.
castaway logged in and running. exit that toon (castaway called toon a), pimped loads/unloads decal for next toon and i log in another toon (lets call him/her b) that doesn't use castaway (but uses everything else). log that toon out (b) and i get a ctd.
restart log in b, out, log in c, d,e.... no problems. log in a which loads castaway. as soon as i log out toon a, after loading any other toon and exiting will crash.
made some changes to my castaway setup. and under restrictions turned on Only buff players in my monarchy.
since then the bot (which just so happens to be the monarch) is not recognizing anyone as in his allegance and thus not buffing them. so i had to set it back too off for buts. since the bots are at the mansion we don't get that many that it is significant. BUT not able to recognize if in alleg or not is something that needs to be looked at.

Any tweaks to CharFilter in the beta?
I just ran into issue where AccountCharCount use to be 20 and now its 10.
It use to interleave a record with just the id so I had code to skip over it.

Good change. I just have to tell ppl going forward to use the beta.
Now if the Slot numbers auto magically fix themselves.
