Yeah I still have that issue. Perhaps I should go to Nvidia control panel and turn everything down/off in video settings and see what happens?

It's like the screen is the background color of character selection screen, with a cursor about 3 times normal size.

The only thing that could really affect it is the resolution. I really don't think that is the problem, but it doesn't hurt to try lowering that. You could try lowering the resolution in AC also. Turn off decal and load AC, then go into the AC panel and set it to something like 1024x768. Don't go any lower than that. The 800x600 setting messes up sometimes.

I dropped both desktop and AC resolution a bit, (still on a CRT monitor), but the issue persists.

I have both game and desktop set at the resolution you specified.

It could be that the video card is not working good with that monitor. Try changing the refresh rate. 60Mhz or 75 should work fine. Whatever it is set on now change it to one of the other refresh rates. The monitor may not be able to handle higher refresh rates all that well.

EDIT: Change it in the display properties in windows. You shouldn't have to change anything in AC.

Dropping down to 70 seems to have done the trick. I'm sure I would have never thought to try that myself. I am now in AC looking at my lifestone.
